Larry wrote previously about the end of Pax Americana, but it bears repeating \u2014 the major consequence of Russia\u2019s Special Military Operation in Ukraine is the deconstruction of the international world order created and dominated by the United States in the wake of World War II. \u201cThings are changing\u201d and\u00a0Saudi Arabia<\/a>\u00a0is \u201clooking at what\u2019s happening,\u201d Magnier said, \u201clooking at the Americans much weaker than before, a distance from the Middle East.\u201d<\/p>\n

The US lacks \u201cthe same dominance as they used to have,\u201d with the oil-producing countries like Saudi Arabia and Iran now accepting payment in other currencies than the US dollar \u2014 like the Chinese\u00a0Yuan<\/a>\u00a0and the Russian ruble.<\/p>\n
