Nothing seems to trigger the left more than conservative victories, particularly on culture war issues.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday, the Kansas State Legislature voted to override liberal Democrat Governor Laura Kelly\u2019s March veto of a commonsense bill to protect girls\u2019 sports.<\/p>\n

As reported <\/a> by the Kansas Reflector, The final vote was 84-40 vote in the House and 28-12 vote in the Senate. Both chambers narrowly met the two-thirds threshold for a veto override.<\/p>\n

HB 2238, the legislation in question, specifically bars<\/a>\u00a0biological males from taking part in female sports.<\/p>\n

Athletic teams or sports designated for females, women or girls shall not be open to students of the male sex.<\/p>\n

The bill covers <\/a> students from kindergarten through college.<\/p>\n

After the House voted to protect girls, the Reflector revealed <\/a> that one far-left Democrat lawmaker threw a hissy fit and cursed out her colleagues. Rep. Susan Ruiz stood up on the House floor and called Republicans \u201cfull of s**t\u201d for approving the legislation.<\/p>\n

She claimed her tantrum was caused by Republicans laughing after passing the bill. She was particularly peeved at GOP Rep. Patrick Penn.<\/p>\n

He came in gloating, and it\u2019s wrong. This is all about wins and losses for them. This is a win for them.<\/p>\n

They don\u2019t care what kind of a win it is. They don\u2019t care about the unintended consequences. They don\u2019t care that trans kids have a target on their back.<\/p>\n

Ruiz was not the only Democrat to embarrass herself on the House floor. Rep. Heather Meyer decided that wearing a \u201cprotect trans youth\u201d T-shirt was appropriate House attire.<\/p>\n

Governor Kelly said she was heartbroken over men no longer having the opportunity to steal female glory in Kansas.<\/p>\n

It sort of breaks my heart. It certainly is disappointing.<\/p>\n

I know that there\u2019s some legislators for whom this was a very, very hard vote, and one that I think they will regret as they look back on their time in the Legislature.<\/p>\n
