Hollywood legend James Woods thinks it\u2019s squarely the latter as he blasted the beleaguered news network<\/a> over a headline involving the incumbent president\u2019s son.<\/p>\n He\u2019s called \u201cBiden\u2019s son,\u201d but she\u2019s dismissed as \u201cex-stripper.\u201d This is journalistic sexism at its lowest. Why couldn\u2019t the headline just as easily read, \u201cEx-crack addict dragged into court by mother of his child?\u201d pic.twitter.com\/9Fyr2yiMoB<\/a><\/p>\n \u2014 James Woods (@RealJamesWoods) June 17, 2023<\/a><\/p>\n\n The article, which appears to be this one<\/a>, breaks down Hunter Biden\u2019s ongoing woes with Lunden Roberts, mother of a 4-year-old that a judge ruled with \u201cnear scientific certainty\u201d was the son of Hunter\u2019s.<\/p>\n The 53-year-old son of President Joe Biden was deposed in the ongoing child support case (Biden is seeking to lower the $20,000 a month in childcare he is paying Roberts) in Little Rock, Arkansas, on Friday.<\/p>\n It\u2019s a horrible story all around, particularly when it pertains to how a 4-year-old is under a national spotlight, but it\u2019s certainly a newsworthy story that Fox News was well within its rights to cover.<\/p>\n The issue, however, was that the story also happened to display a headline that read: \u201cBiden\u2019s son dragged into court as fiery child support battle against ex-stripper heats up.\u201d<\/p>\n Woods wasn\u2019t a fan of that headline.<\/p>\n \u201cHe\u2019s called \u2018Biden\u2019s son,\u2019 but she\u2019s dismissed as \u2018ex-stripper,’\u201d he pointed out. While the linked article above sports a different title, internet archives<\/a> do show that Fox News featured that headline on Saturday morning.<\/p>\n \u201cThis is journalistic sexism at its lowest,\u201d Woods said, before proceeding to fix it for Fox.<\/p>\n \u201cWhy couldn\u2019t the headline just as easily read, \u2018Ex-crack addict dragged into court by mother of his child?’\u201d Woods said, making the headline better by significant margins on a couple of levels.<\/p>\n First, why does Hunter Biden get any real respect on his name, apart from being born into a corrupt political dynasty<\/a>? If you were to replace his last name with anything else, he\u2019d probably be rotting away in Guantanamo Bay twice over.<\/p>\n Don\u2019t let him use his last name as any sort of crutch here. And yes, Fox News probably used the \u201cBiden\u201d surname specifically to denigrate the incumbent president, but that octogenarian does that plenty well enough on his own<\/a>. Hunter deserves his own, unique scorn because he is his own uniquely awful person<\/a>.<\/p>\n Second, what is it with Fox News and the leery term \u201cex-stripper\u201d? A quick Google search of \u201cFox News ex-stripper\u201d yields a number of results, but you don\u2019t even have to get that granular.
