Nikcole Cunningham, a member of San Francisco\u2019s slavery reparations committee, called straight white men a \u201cdanger to society\u201d and \u201cserial killers\u201d in a recent interview with The Daily Telegraph<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In the interview, Cunningham says, \u201cStraight white men are abusive. Straight white men are serial killers. They have the most \u2014 I watch these shows \u2014 the most serial killers. Straight white men are the ones who are shooting up schools, right?\u00a0So they are a danger to society,\u201d adding, \u201cNot all of them.\u201d<\/p>\n

Further, Cunningham suggests white people should be held accountable for the actions of slave owners because they are \u201cstill benefiting from the harms that\u2026 [their] ancestor[s] caused.\u201d<\/p>\n

The New York Post reports:<\/a><\/p>\n

Cunningham also claimed that \u201cwhite supremacy is ingrained in the DNA in this country and definitely in this city.\u201d<\/p>\n

She slammed white men for not backing reparations.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019re not doing that. So if anything, they pose more of a harm than support and help. And then you got to remember their ancestors \u2026 are the ones who were standing out here in their Sunday best watching black people hang and burn,\u201d Cunningham told the outlet.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo until white people come to grips with their ancestry too and make amends with them, to say, I want to be the change,\u201d added Cunningham, who was reportedly appointed to the committee because she is suing the city, her former employer, for discrimination.<\/p>\n

The Gateway Pundit reported<\/a> on the proposal from the San Francisco \u201cReparations Committee\u201d to pay each longtime black resident $5 million and grant them total debt forgiveness for suffering decades of \u201csystemic repression.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWhile neither San Francisco, nor California, formally adopted the institution of chattel slavery, the tenets of segregation, white supremacy and systematic repression and exclusion of Black people were codified through legal and extralegal actions, social codes, and judicial enforcement,\u201d the proposed draft says<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cA lump sum payment would compensate the affected population for the decades of harms that they have experienced, and will redress the economic and opportunity losses that Black San Franciscans have endured, collectively, as the result of both intentional decisions and unintended harms perpetuated by City policy,\u201d the draft says.<\/p>\n

The committee is also proposing the debt forgiveness plan because \u201cBlack households are more likely to hold costlier, riskier debt, and are more likely to have outstanding student loan debt.\u201d<\/span><\/div>\n

Further, committee is also planning to supplement lower-income blacks so they can afford housing.<\/p>\n

\u201cRacial disparities across all metrics have led to a significant racial wealth gap in the City of San Francisco,\u201d the draft says. \u201cBy elevating income to match AMI, Black people can better afford housing and achieve a better quality of life.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
