Marxist Democrat Rep. Cori Bush trashed the Declaration of Independence and demanded reparations on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Declaration of Independence was written by enslavers and didn\u2019t recognize Black people as human.\u201d Cori Bush said.<\/p>\n

Less than a dozen of the 56 signers of the Declaration of Independence owned slaves.<\/p>\n

Democrat Rep. Cori Bush recently introduced <\/a>a resolution demanding what is estimated to be $14 trillion in federal reparations.<\/p>\n

Reps. Cori Bush, Rashida Tlaib, Jamaal Bowman and Barbara Lee unveiled the resolution in May.<\/p>\n

Bush said black people \u2018continue to live under slavery\u2019 because of the black-white wealth gap.<\/p>\n

Rep. Bowman said, \u201cTrauma lives in the black body.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cResearch has shown this from generation to generation trauma lives in the body and lives in the blood vessels and lives in the DNA and the cells and the mind,\u201d Bowman said<\/p>\n
