{"id":14565,"date":"2023-07-05T20:46:29","date_gmt":"2023-07-05T20:46:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sasquatchnewsonline.com\/?p=14565"},"modified":"2023-07-05T20:46:29","modified_gmt":"2023-07-05T20:46:29","slug":"former-nyc-mayor-makes-repulsive-announcement-about-his-marriage-to-former-lesbian-wife-of-29-years","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sasquatchnewsonline.com\/?p=14565","title":{"rendered":"FORMER NYC MAYOR Makes REPULSIVE Announcement About His Marriage to Former Lesbian Wife of 29 Years"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On Wednesday, former New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio announced that he would be separating from his wife of 29 years, Chirlane McCray, while still remaining married and living together.<\/p>\n<p>Chirlane McCray and Bill de Blasio<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/100percentfedup.com\/former-nyc-mayor-makes-repulsive-announcement-about-his-marriage-to-radical-leftist-wife-of-29-years\/\">100 Percent Fed Up<\/a> reports \u2013 The far-left couple does not plan to get a formal divorce but instead will stay married while dating other people.<\/p>\n<p>McCray publicly identified as a lesbian in the 1990s, prior to her marriage to de Blasio.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2023\/07\/05\/nyregion\/de-blasio-marriage-chirlane-mccray.html\">New York Times<\/a>, de Blasio said, \u201cFor the guy who took the chance on the woman who was an out lesbian and wrote an article called \u2018I Am a Lesbian,\u2019 there was a part of me that would at times say, \u2018Hmmm, is this like a time bomb ticking? Is this something that you\u2019re going to regret later on?\u2019 So I always lived with that stuff.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>De Blasio attributed some of the relationship\u2019s failures to his position as NYC mayor, saying, \u201cEverything was this overwhelming schedule, this sort of series of tasks. And that kind of took away a little bit of our soul.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>68-year-old McCray also spoke to the Times about the unconventional \u201cseparation,\u201d saying, \u201cI just want to have fun.\u201d<\/p>\n\n<p>Speaking to reporters on Wednesday morning outside of the couple\u2019s home, McCray said, \u201cThis is a big change for us, but Bill and I are still very much in love. We came to this decision together, and I think it\u2019s the right decision for us.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s one thing to make a decision, it\u2019s another thing to think\u2026 figuring out how it plays out, and we will be talking about that over the next months,\u201d she added. \u201cI hope that we can be a model for how couples can communicate honestly about what their needs are and to conduct themselves when they find it\u2019s time to move in another direction. I think that\u2019s important.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In 2020, de Blasio <a href=\"https:\/\/100percentfedup.com\/questions-raised-about-1b-boondoggle-after-nyc-mayor-appoints-wife-to-coronavirus-racial-inequality-taskforce\/\">appointed<\/a> McCray to New York City\u2019s \u201cCoronavirus Racial Inequality\u201d task force to make sure the city \u201crebounds as a better and more just society.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In March 2021, McCray <a href=\"https:\/\/100percentfedup.com\/bill-de-blasios-wife-suggests-new-yorkers-should-engage-in-vigilante-activity-if-they-believe-a-hate-crime-is-taking-place\/\">suggested<\/a> that New Yorkers should engage in \u201cvigilante activity\u201d if they believe they have witnessed a hate crime. She tweeted, \u201cAs attacks on Asian American communities continue, we\u2019re asking New Yorkers to show up for their neighbors and intervene when witnessing hateful violence or harassment. I know that can be frightening when you aren\u2019t sure what to do or say, but you can learn.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Fear is a normal feeling when stepping into a confrontation, but being prepared can help.
