{"id":15175,"date":"2023-07-18T23:39:43","date_gmt":"2023-07-18T23:39:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sasquatchnewsonline.com\/?p=15175"},"modified":"2023-07-18T23:39:43","modified_gmt":"2023-07-18T23:39:43","slug":"bloomberg-film-critic-of-sound-of-freedom-movie-is-leftist-spokesman-for-minor-attracted-person-advocacy-group","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sasquatchnewsonline.com\/?p=15175","title":{"rendered":"Bloomberg Film Critic of \u2018Sound of Freedom\u2019 Movie Is Leftist Spokesman for Minor Attracted Person Advocacy Group"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Via Zero Hedge:<\/p>\n<p>Following the release of the \u201cSound of Freedom,\u201d Jim Caviezel\u2019s anti-child-trafficking film,\u00a0<strong>a chorus of mainstream\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/DeepBlueCrypto\/status\/1678384067509665792?s=20\">hit-pieces<\/a>\u00a0came out denouncing it as a \u201cQAnon\u201d conspiracy flick<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>But one author of a recent SoF hit-piece in\u00a0<em>Bloomberg<\/em>\u00a0isn\u2019t just against the movie,\u00a0<strong>he\u2019s<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>a pedo-defending freelancer who used to work for an organization working to normalize pedophilia<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Noah Berlatsky<\/strong> wrote a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/opinion\/articles\/2023-07-15\/qanon-and-sound-of-freedom-both-rely-on-tired-hollywood-tropes?in_source=embedded-checkout-banner\">scathing critique<\/a> of the popular movie on the horrors of child sex trafficking.<\/p>\n\n<p>Reporter Andy Ngo later pointed out that Noah Berlatsky was the spokesperson for M.A.P. (minor-attracted person) advocacy group, Prostasia.<\/p>\n<p>The person who wrote this Bloomberg opinion piece is leftist activist Noah Berlatsky <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/nberlat?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@nberlat<\/a>. He was the spokesperson for M.A.P. (minor-attracted person) advocacy group, Prostasia. He previously tweeted that pedophiles are a stigmatized group designated as deviants for hateful\u2026 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/iT2pqLhku0\">pic.twitter.com\/iT2pqLhku0<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Andy Ng\u00f4  (@MrAndyNgo) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MrAndyNgo\/status\/1680773980003631104?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">July 17, 2023<\/a><\/p>\n\n<p>Noah Berlatsky is the Communications Director of Prostasia, a group that <a href=\"https:\/\/thepostmillennial.com\/nbc-contributor-prostasia-normalizing-pedophilia\">hopes to normalize<\/a> sexual attraction to children.<\/p>\n\n<p>Here is what Noah has to say about \u201cThe Sound of Freedom.\u201d This guy is a pig.<\/p>\n<p>The film is controversial because the man the movie is about, former Homeland Security operative Tim Ballard, and the actor who plays him, Jim Caviezel, both have links to QAnon. Ballard has promoted the baseless claim that furniture retailer Wayfair was involved in child trafficking. Caviezel has spoken at multiple QAnon events. In an interview with former Trump adviser Steve Bannon, he promoted one of the cult\u2019s most outrageous conspiracy theories, claiming that child traffickers drain their victim\u2019s blood to create a serum to prevent aging.<\/p>\n<p>Angel Studios, which created the thriller, insists that, despite these links, the movie itself isn\u2019t related to QAnon. And after sitting through the 2-hour movie, I think Angel Studios has a point. The film doesn\u2019t explicitly reference QAnon talking points. Instead, in many ways, it echoes and reproduces themes and tropes around trafficking that are common in mainstream Hollywood cinema. Sound of Freedom isn\u2019t QAnon propaganda, exactly, but it shows how closely QAnon propaganda mirrors common popular pulp narratives.<br \/>\nSound of Freedom is centered on the kidnapping of two young Honduran children, Miguel (played by Luc\u00e1s \u00c1vila) and Roc\u00edo (Cristal Aparicio). Agent Ballard becomes aware of their plight while staking out a child abuser in the US. Defying the Homeland Security bureaucracy, he sets up a series of sting operations in Colombia \u2014 the last of which leads him into rebel-controlled territory to save Roc\u00edo from a militia leader.<\/p>\n<p>Although the movie is billed as being based on a true story, reporting suggests that Ballard frequently makes exaggerated claims and oversells his own contributions. In 2020, his organization, Operation Underground Railroad, was investigated for using false claims about its successes to raise money, though charges were never filed.
