{"id":15270,"date":"2023-07-20T22:40:58","date_gmt":"2023-07-20T22:40:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sasquatchnewsonline.com\/?p=15270"},"modified":"2023-07-20T22:40:58","modified_gmt":"2023-07-20T22:40:58","slug":"breaking-rand-paul-criminally-refers-dr-fauci-to-doj-for-prosecution-for-lying-to-congress-about-gain-of-function","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sasquatchnewsonline.com\/?p=15270","title":{"rendered":"Breaking: Rand Paul Criminally Refers Dr. Fauci to DOJ For Prosecution For Lying to Congress About Gain-of-Function"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Senator Rand Paul told Breitbart News Daily that he has criminally referred Fauci to the Department of Justice for prosecution.<\/p>\n<p>This should not come as a surprise.\u00a0 In December, Senator Paul told Jesse Watters on FOX News that Republicans had caught Fauci in several lies and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegatewaypundit.com\/2022\/12\/caught-red-handed-wont-get-away-senator-rand-paul-accuses-fauci-funding-research-caused-7-million-people-die-video\/\">\u201che won\u2019t get away.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Former NIAID chief Dr. Anthony Fauci previously <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegatewaypundit.com\/2021\/07\/rand-paul-will-sending-letter-department-justice-asking-criminal-referral-fauci-video\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">testified <\/a>and responded to questions about the NIH\u2019s role in funding gain-of-function research at the Wuhan lab.<\/p>\n<p>Rand Paul and Fauci got into a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegatewaypundit.com\/2022\/09\/elf-shelf-senator-rand-paul-eviscerates-liar-tony-fauci-senate-hearing-video\/\">tense exchange<\/a> over Fauci\u2019s involvement in funding the Wuhan lab\u2019s gain-of-function research that likely led to Covid-19 in September 2022.<\/p>\n<p>Fauci AGAIN denied he funded gain-of-function research during the hearing.<\/p>\n<p>Rand Paul also warned Fauci that lying to Congress is a crime.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDr. Fauci, as you are aware it is a crime to lie to Congress, Section 1001 of the US Criminal Code. Critics say a felony and a five-year penalty for lying to Congress,\u201d Rand Paul said in 2021.<\/p>\n<p>Rand Paul told Breitbart News Daily there is further evidence Fauci lied to Congress about gain-of-function in light of a newly-surfaced 2020 email summarizing Fauci\u2019s phone call.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is when they\u2019re just beginning to look into the pandemic. And in that email, he basically says, \u2018Yes, we\u2019re suspicious that this could be a manipulated virus because it came from a lab in Wuhan, where they do gain of function research,\u2019 and he describes the research,\u201d Paul said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWell, this directly contradicts everything he said in committee hearing to me, denying absolutely that they funded any gain of function, and it\u2019s absolutely a lie,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese virologists from around the world are saying, they\u2019re looking at the genetic sequence of COVID-19, and they find that there are some striking, strikingly unusual characteristics of it that make it look like it\u2019s been manipulated in the lab.
