{"id":17474,"date":"2023-09-06T22:41:06","date_gmt":"2023-09-06T22:41:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sasquatchnewsonline.com\/?p=17474"},"modified":"2023-09-06T22:41:06","modified_gmt":"2023-09-06T22:41:06","slug":"woman-in-nj-prison-files-lawsuit-claiming-she-was-sexually-assaulted-by-transgender-inmate","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sasquatchnewsonline.com\/?p=17474","title":{"rendered":"Woman in NJ Prison Files Lawsuit Claiming She Was Sexually Assaulted By Transgender Inmate"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>A woman in a New Jersey prison has filed a lawsuit claiming that she was sexually assaulted by a transgender biological male inmate who is housed with women.<\/h3>\n<p>The lawsuit claims that at least two female inmates at Edna Mahan Correctional Facility for Women have been impregnated by \u201ctransgender\u201d biological males.<\/p>\n<p>The lawsuit was filed against the New Jersey Department of Corrections and claims that there is a lack of \u201ccorrective action\u201d taken by prison guards when it comes to the \u201csexually aggressive and harassing behavior of the transgenders.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, the inmate says that women were housed with the men in areas of the prison without cameras.<\/p>\n<p>The Daily Mail <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-12485963\/Female-prisoner-claims-sexually-assaulted-trans-inmate-male-genitalia-womens-jail-Lawsuit-says-two-females-pregnant-sexual-interactions-transgenders-New-Jersey-prison.html\">reports<\/a> that the woman says the biological male inmate sexually assaulted her in September and October.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe said she reported the assault by the transgender inmate \u2013 only identified with initials in the lawsuit \u2013 to staff at Edna Mahan, but was given disciplinary action instead, it says in the lawsuit filed on August 29 by Somerville attorney James Wronko,\u201d according to the report.<\/p>\n<p>The transgender inmate has reportedly been moved to a male facility.<\/p>\n<p>The state\u2019s Department of Corrections is also being sued by a former inmate who claims that she was forced to have sex with a male prison guard on August 21, 2021.
