{"id":18483,"date":"2023-09-28T15:42:56","date_gmt":"2023-09-28T15:42:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sasquatchnewsonline.com\/?p=18483"},"modified":"2023-09-28T15:42:56","modified_gmt":"2023-09-28T15:42:56","slug":"democrat-el-paso-mayor-starts-bussing-migrants-to-new-york-chicago-and-denver","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sasquatchnewsonline.com\/?p=18483","title":{"rendered":"Democrat El Paso Mayor Starts Bussing Migrants to New York, Chicago, and Denver"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>The Democrat mayor of El Paso, Texas, has started bussing migrants to New York, Chicago, and Denver.<\/h3>\n<p>Democrats have repeatedly claimed that Republican governors bussing migrants to \u201csanctuary cities\u201d is cruel and \u201cinhumane.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>El Paso\u2019s liberal Mayor Oscar Leeser apparently disagrees, saying that the city has reached \u201ca breaking point.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe city of El Paso only has so many resources and we have come to \u2026 a breaking point right now,\u201d Leeser said at a press conference on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think it\u2019s really important to note that we have a broken immigration system,\u201d Lesser added. \u201cIt\u2019s the same thing over and over again.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Over 2,000 migrants, most from Venezuela, have been crossing into the city daily.<\/p>\n<p>The city claims that the migrants are being transported voluntarily.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEvery individual that boards one of these busses is going voluntarily,\u201d Jorge Rodriguez with El Paso Emergency Management said, according to a report from local station <a href=\"https:\/\/wgntv.com\/news\/chicago-news\/el-paso-mayor-chartered-buses-of-migrants-to-come-to-chicago\/\">WGN9<\/a>. \u201cThey sign a form stating that they\u2019re going voluntarily to the destination of their choice. No one has been forced, but we are coordinating with them carefully.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Messenger <a href=\"https:\/\/themessenger.com\/news\/el-paso-mayor-warns-city-is-at-breaking-point-amid-migrant-surge\">reports<\/a>, \u201cResources in Chicago have been strained to the extent that migrants have been sheltering in police stations and airports, while New York City has received 100,000 asylum seekers in the last year and it is still struggling to house them.
