#NaziGate is still trending at X (Twitter), and the scandal continues unabated, after a veteran of Adolf Hitler\u2019s Nazi forces was honored by Parliament last week, in an\u00a0event featuring Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.<\/p>\n
Now, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau have been forced to release a \u2018half-apology\u2019. Will that put the matter to sleep? Unlikely.<\/p>\n
Had this been a good faith accident, I would have stopped writing about it, it would have been cruel to persevere.<\/p>\n
But no, a lot of things point to a darker reality.<\/p>\n
First of all: Trudeau did not apologize for himself, but \u2018on behalf of Canada\u2019s Parliament\u2019.<\/p>\n
Also, Trudeau trying to whitewash a basic fact: as bad as having an elderly Nazi in Parliament can be, much worse is to be funneling Billions of taxpayers\u2019 dollars to the funding of a regime that is deeply connected to the real life contemporary Nazis of the Azov regiment and groups like that.<\/p>\n
CBC<\/a> reported:<\/p>\n \u201c\u2018This was a mistake that has deeply embarrassed Parliament and Canada. All of us who were in this House on Friday regret deeply having stood and clapped even though we did so unaware of the context\u2019, Trudeau said in a brief statement to reporters.<\/em><\/p>\n \u2018It was a horrendous violation of the memory of the millions of people who died in the Holocaust\u2019, he said, adding\u00a0the celebration of\u00a0ex-soldier\u00a0Yaroslav Hunka was \u2018deeply, deeply painful\u2019 to Jewish people, Poles, Roma, the LGBT community and other racialized people in particular\u00a0\u2014 some of the groups that were targeted by the Nazi regime in the Second World War.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n The worst part, of course, was when Trudeau declared that Canada \u2018is deeply sorry\u2019 for involving\u00a0Zelensky \u2013 which is patently absurd.<\/p>\n The Ukrainian President was pictured applauding Hunka\u00a0\u2014 an image that says it all. From Nazi to Nazi.<\/p>\n So Trudeau\u2019s Canada \u2018has sent an apology to Zelensky and the Ukrainian delegation through diplomatic channels\u2019.<\/p>\n That will not stand. The contemporary Nazis will also be exposed.<\/p>\n\n Meanwhile, Trudeau is gearing for battle \u2013 and he is, after all, an expert in political survival. He told Liberal MPs Wednesday (27) that they \u2018should avoid speaking to the press\u2019 about\u00a0Hunka\u2019s\u00a0invitation.\u00a0He said that \u2018the media frenzy would die down\u2019 if they keep quiet.<\/p>\n The shockwaves from 98-year-old\u2019s\u00a0Yaroslav Hunka appearance\u00a0in Parliament\u00a0are still being felt. All I wanted was to quietly leave this world with my family, and now I will be forced to go to my friends in South America\u2026\u2019<\/em><\/p>\n This man is about to expose the last network of exiled Nazis in the American continent and the whole world is watching it!
