{"id":20646,"date":"2023-11-12T21:40:21","date_gmt":"2023-11-12T21:40:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sasquatchnewsonline.com\/?p=20646"},"modified":"2023-11-12T21:40:21","modified_gmt":"2023-11-12T21:40:21","slug":"climate-activists-narcissistically-make-u-ks-remembrance-sunday-about-themselves","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sasquatchnewsonline.com\/?p=20646","title":{"rendered":"Climate Activists Narcissistically Make U.K\u2019s Remembrance Sunday About Themselves"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Image: Video Screenshot @JustStop_Oil\/X<\/p>\n<p>The environmental wackos from Just Stop Oil are back at it.<\/p>\n<p>Taking a break from damaging <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegatewaypundit.com\/2022\/10\/monet-painting-germany-latest-target-unhinged-climate-activists\/\">priceless works of art<\/a>, on Sunday, the group tried to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegatewaypundit.com\/2022\/10\/eco-protesters-glue-road-schooled-fed-londoner\/\">once again<\/a> block traffic in London during one of their customary \u201cslow march\u201d protests that disrupt the community.<\/p>\n<p>The group chose Remembrance Sunday for their latest stunt.<\/p>\n<p>Remembrance Day is held each November in the U.K. to honor and remember the thousands of servicemen and women who lost their lives in service to their nation from World War I to the present day. On the Sunday closest to November 11, events and expressions of appreciation, gratitude and honor happen around the country.<\/p>\n<p>But leave it to the eco-zealots to find a way to take a day meant to honor the fallen about themselves.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-12740445\/motorist-Just-Stop-Oil-mob-traffic-Protesters-red-white-poppies-arrested-Remembrance-Sunday.html\">The Daily Mail reports:<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">Police officers arrived at the scene shortly after the march started at 4pm and began shoving activists out of the road, according to the group. The <span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/met-police\/index.html\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\">Metropolitan Police<\/a><\/span>said that\u00a025 arrests have so far been made for disruption to the main carriageway.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">Footage from the scene shows one frustrated commuter on an <span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/e-scooters\/index.html\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\">electric scooter<\/a><\/span>ploughing into one of the signs being carried by the group before furiously discarding it to the side of the road and driving off.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">Another video shows a furious van driver attempt to get past the eco-zealots as they stood in the middle of the road at a set of traffic lights, while other enraged motorists honked their horns in frustration.<\/p>\n<p>The group predictably took to social media to whine about the consequences of there actions.<\/p>\n<p>The MET police are already overstretched, underfunded and now tasked with cleaning up the mess left by corrupt politicians and their policies. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/GMCyFAM9kt\">pic.twitter.com\/GMCyFAM9kt<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Just Stop Oil (@JustStop_Oil) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/JustStop_Oil\/status\/1723780542523494494?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">November 12, 2023<\/a><\/p>\n\n<p><span class=\"mol-style-bold\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegatewaypundit.com\/2022\/11\/unhinged-climate-activists-cause-heartbroken-man-miss-fathers-funeral-will-never-ever-forgive-people\/\">The Gateway Pundit reported<\/a> on a prior Just Stop Oil public tantrums when they once again targeted roadways in the UK causing headaches and heartaches.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>One motorist shared how these public tantrums have real-world consequences for citizens just trying to live their lives. \u00a0The road blockage caused him to miss his father\u2019s funeral.<\/p>\n<p>In a radio interview he shared,\u201dBy doing this, this civil disruption, you don\u2019t raise people to your cause. You actually alienate yourselves on this. But there\u2019s nothing we could have done. But someone that I don\u2019t know has taken that ability for me to say goodbye to my father away from me. And I actually said a few choice words, as I mentioned, on their Twitter page.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNothing\u2019s come back saying \u2018we\u2019re sorry so terribly sorry for what happened.\u2019 And if they did, I would tell them to stick it where the sun doesn\u2019t shine. Because frankly, there\u2019s nothing that these people can say to make it any better in my eyes.
