To manipulate the number of people present in demonstrations \u2013 diminishing it when they don\u2019t like the people involved \u2013 is a time-honored political dirty trick by the MSM.<\/p>\n

So you\u2019ll see all over the news the assessment that Spain\u2019s protests today (12) gathered \u2018tens of thousands\u2019 in all Spain \u2013 which is laughable compared to available photographic evidence, and even their own biased reporting reveal much higher numbers.<\/p>\n

The \u2018authorities\u2019 are saying 80,000 people turned out in Madrid to protest \u2013 organizers say it\u2019s around a million people \u2013 just in Madrid.<\/p>\n

But even with the MSM low-ball numbers, the massive protests took place in 42 cities \u2013 so we are talking many hundreds of thousands at the very least.<\/p>\n

Millions took to the streets of Spain today.<\/p>\n

The massive gatherings across Spain were to protest against the acting government\u2019s plans to further itself in office by an amnesty to convicted separatists for Catalan independence.<\/p>\n

Socialist leader Pedro S\u00e1nchez argues that it would help promote coexistence, but his opponents show the move as a cynical and self-serving means of remaining in power.<\/p>\n

The conservative People\u2019s party (PP) finished first in July\u2019s election,\u00a0but so far it has proved unable to form a government.<\/p>\n

Socialists and its partners mustered backing\u00a0by promising the amnesty to the two main Catalan pro-independence parties.<\/p>\n\n

Protests were held on Sunday in over 40 towns and cities across the country, including Madrid, Barcelona, Seville and Valencia.<\/p>\n

The Guardian<\/a> reported:<\/p>\n

\u201cPeople congregating in the capital\u2019s Puerta del Sol square carried effigies of S\u00e1nchez as Pinocchio, chanted, \u2018Prison for Pedro S\u00e1nchez\u2019 and carried banners with messages including: \u2018Democracy in Spain is at risk\u2019, \u2018S\u00e1nchez traitor\u201d and \u201cNo amnesty for terrorism \u2013\u00a0Europe, save us\u2019.<\/p>\n

[\u2026] Speaking in Puerta del Sol, the PP\u2019s leader, Alberto N\u00fa\u00f1ez Feijoo, once again accused S\u00e1nchez of \u2018buying his investiture in return for giving his partners judicial impunity\u2019 and said Spaniards would not remain silent over the amnesty. \u2018The office of prime minister of\u00a0Spain\u00a0can\u2019t be an object to be bought and sold\u2019, said Feij\u00f3o. \u2018Spaniards want democracy, equality, justice and dignity. Spain has never sold itself, and they [the PSOE] have tried to cover up the fact that they lost. The prime minister of Spain will always be the person that\u2019s won the elections\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n

Today, hundreds of thousands of Spanish people have taken the streets in protest against the government. Squares all over the country have witnessed massive protests. Isabel D\u00edaz Ayuso, PP president in Madrid decried Sanchez\u2019 \u2018totalitarian\u2019 project.<\/p>\n

\u201c<\/em>\u2018He\u2019s decided that he will not lose power, whatever the cost for Spain; that nothing and no one will take it from him\u2019, she said. \u2018He\u2019s decided to dynamite the rules of the game and to suppress institutions and state powers\u2019.<\/p>\n

Vox\u2019s leader, Santiago Abascal, described S\u00e1nchez\u2019s deal with the Catalan parties as \u2018a coup d\u2019\u00e9tat in capital letters\u2019 and said it was the \u2018most delicate moment in Spanish politics in the past 40 years\u2019. He also called for a \u2018permanent and peaceful mobilization\u2019 that went far beyond Sunday\u2019s one-off demonstrations.\u201d<\/p>\n
