On Friday\u2019s episode of \u201cReal Time\u201d host Bill Maher took a swipe at former President Obama for comments he made this week about the Israel-Hamas war and shared his disappointment in the former President\u2019s \u201cmoral equvalency.\u201d<\/p>\n

On Pod Save America<\/a>, Obama said that \u201call of us are complicit\u201d for the escalated violence in the Middle East following the Hamas terrorist attacks on Israel that began on October 7th.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat Hamas did was horrific, and there is no justification for it. And what is also true is that the occupation, and what\u2019s happening to Palestinians, is unbearable,\u201d he said. \u201cIf you want to solve the problem, then you have to take in the whole truth. And then you have to admit nobody\u2019s hands are clean, that all of us are complicit to some degree.\u201d<\/p>\n

Maher said during a panel discussion with guests Jordan Peterson and New York Times opinion columnist Pamela Paul, \u201cI must say I am struggling with people\u2019s moral equivalency still. I mean, Barack Obama, who has rarely disappointed me, did so this week\u2026 \u00a0I mean, his statement, it\u2019s not a horrible statement, but he said, \u2018If you want to solve the problem, then you have to take in the whole truth and then you have to admit nobody\u2019s hands are clean.\u2019 Literally, that\u2019s true, of course. But just giving two examples where this is I don\u2019t think a helpful statement at this moment. First of all, the attack was only a month ago. A more savage attack than we\u2019ve ever seen in reverse. There\u2019s a big difference between collateral damage and what Hamas did.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cSecondly, the Israelis are now on the four-hour pause for people to get out. So people say \u2018oh, wow, how big of them.\u2019 Ok, but it is a war that the other side started! It\u2019s so interesting. When they fired [at] Israel. It\u2019s a war. When Israel fires back, it\u2019s a war crime. Little crazy\u2026 Also, would Hamas do that? Would they give four-hour pauses? No, no pausing.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd then Israel\u2019s heritage minister was asked in an interview about using a nuke on Gaza. And he said \u2018that\u2019s one of the possibilities.\u2019 He was fired, not allowed in the Cabinet meeting anymore, disavowed by the Prime Minister. Would that happen in reverse? So enough with the moral equivalencies, please.\u201d<\/p>\n

Maher continued, \u201cI think we are forgetting a little bit of the Islamic fanaticism part of this because you\u2019re not supposed to talk about that anymore because, if you do, even no matter how realistic it is, it becomes Islamophobic.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cBut it\u2019s true! The people in Hamas who kill their own people think they\u2019re doing them a favor because they\u2019re becoming martyrs. That\u2019s a different kind of situation to have to deal with that Israel has that most people don\u2019t.\u201d<\/p>\n

Maher has certainly been facing the reality of a world where of leftist endorsed wokism poisons society.<\/p>\n

In recent weeks, he has slammed liberals for defending Hamas<\/a> and the rise of anti-semitism among young people.<\/p>\n

He actually defended the West <\/a>last week saying that Western Civilization \u201cgave the world pretty much every G*ddam liberal precept liberals are supposed to adore.\u201d<\/p>\n

He lambasted elite colleges<\/a>\u00a0for their \u201cindoctrination into a stew of bad ideas\u201d and the suppression of free speech.<\/p>\n

He even admitted that what is happening at Joe Biden\u2019s broken border<\/a> is a disaster.<\/p>\n
