GOP presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy and prominent patriot lawyer Rogan O\u2019Handley (popularly known as DC_Draino) found themselves embroiled in a war of words on X\/Twitter. The heated exchange was sparked when DC_Draino publicly called out Ramaswamy for his controversial background and his flip-flopping on several critical issues.<\/p>\n
DC_Draino questioned Ramaswamy\u2019s integrity, shedding light on allegations that Ramaswamy faced earlier in his career.<\/p>\n

This fellowship was named after George Soros\u2019s older brother, Paul Soros, a Hungarian-born American businessman and philanthropist, often called \u201cthe invisible Soros.\u201d<\/p>\n Ramaswamy asserted that he never met both Paul Soros and George Soros.<\/p>\n \u201cWhat is my connection with George Soros? Answer none, zero, indirect, zero connection with George Soros,\u201d Ramaswamy said in a video statement posted in July.<\/p>\n \u201cBack in 2010 \u2013 by the way, this was long before George Soros had completely fallen off the deep end and gone into progressive causes, funding what I perceive as disastrous and toxic prosecutors who are soft on crime, who I\u2019ve also railed against.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cIn 2010, I won a scholarship when I was 24 or 25 years old and headed to law school that was partly funded not by George Soros but by Paul Soros, George\u2019s brother. [Paul] made his money independently and who, by the way, is now dead, funded hundreds of people \u2013 hundreds of kids. In the same year he accepted the award, Ramaswamy reported $2,252,209 in total income, according to his tax returns. He also reported a total of $1,173,690 in income in the three years prior.<\/p>\n His campaign\u2019s spokesperson, Tricia McLaughlin, defended Ramaswamy\u2019s decision, emphasizing that the scholarship was a generic one that hundreds of students win to attend graduate school.<\/p>\n \u201cVivek would have been a fool to turn down that scholarship \u2013 Anyone who would have shouldn\u2019t get anywhere near the White House doing trade deals,\u201d she told Fox News Digital.<\/p>\n However, Ramaswamy\u2019s Wikipedia page was updated to remove information about his association with Paul Soros,\u00a0raising questions about the transparency of Ramaswamy\u2019s candidacy according to critics.<\/p>\n According to\u00a0Mediate<\/a>, Ramaswamy seems to have paid Wikipedia editor \u201cJhofferman,\u201d to remove content from his page that Ramaswamy believed would undermine his candidacy in the Republican primary. Despite rejecting the award and repeatedly asking for his name to be removed, the WEF refused.<\/p>\n \u201cThe World Economic Forum named me on a list of so-called young global leaders. They did it despite the fact that I turned down their award. They kept my name on that list despite the fact that I repeatedly asked them to take it off because I did not share their values. I\u2019m an opponent of it,\u201d Ramaswamy said.<\/p>\n After two years on the list, Ramaswamy was removed by the WEF after he filed a lawsuit against the company earlier this year, saying, \u201cThis is an organization that does a lot of wrong and I\u2019ve opposed it publicly and believe it should be held accountable.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cWell, when they refused to do it, you know what I did? I sued them because I believe in taking action,\u201d Ramaswamy said.<\/p>\n On the topic of face masks, Ramaswamy acknowledged that he made a statement encouraging people to buy masks out of personal responsibility early on in the pandemic, in opposition to government advice. However, he clarified that as the scientific understanding of masks evolved, so did his stance.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ll admit it, my anti-government instincts got the better of me. Because I don\u2019t know if you all remember this, but back in March, April 2020, when I put that tweet out, which said that we should buy masks based on individual personal responsibility or whatever it was that I said, that was in response to the government, including Fauci and the head of the CDC, laughing at people for buying masks and telling people across this country that they shouldn\u2019t buy masks. I have inherently libertarian instincts,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m skeptical of the government. I think the government mostly lies. And so when they were saying, don\u2019t buy masks, I went the other way and said that, you know what? If the government\u2019s going to tell me not to protect myself, then maybe we should be protecting ourselves. The editor recorded that Ramaswamy\u2019s Covid-era work was removed from the article by the candidate\u2019s own explicit request, while his Soros fellowship was deemed \u201cextraneous material\u201d by the editor.\u201d<\/p>\n Vivek Ramaswamy has yet to respond to allegations that his company partnered with the National Institutes of Health to create a database of patients\u2019 personal medical information.<\/p>\n \u201cRegenstrief Institute, Indiana Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute (CTSI) and\u00a0Datavant<\/strong>\u00a0are supporting the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in a national effort to securely gather data to help scientists understand and develop treatments for COVID-19,\u201d according to the\u00a0news release<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cRegenstrief, Datavant and Indiana CTSI created solutions that will enable the linking of data from different sources without the identifiers, improving the quality and completeness of the information while still protecting patient identities. This process will make data more useful to researchers as they work to understand the virus and develop solutions to address it.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cDatavant provides the privacy-preserving record linkage (PPRL) technology which underpins de-identified data contributions to the NIH COVID-19 Data Warehouse, including the N3C, ensuring patient records are shared safely, securely, and privately in compliance with de-identification standards. De-identified data linkages within and with the N3C will address the challenges of assembling comprehensive patient records in large-scale clinical research due to care fragmentation and data fragmentation.\u201d<\/p>\n San-Francisco-based Datavant is a unit of\u00a0Roivant Sciences<\/a> that\u00a0Vivek Ramaswamy owns.<\/p>\n GOP Hirsh Singh has brought to light controversial details concerning Vivek Ramaswamy\u2019s political affiliations and voting history<\/a>. The loser of the last election refused to concede the race, claimed the election was stolen, raised hundreds of millions of dollars from loyal supporters, and is considering running for executive office again.\u00a0I\u2019m referring, of course, to Donald Trump<\/strong>.\u201d\u201d<\/p>\n The quoted passage is from Ramaswamy\u2019s book\u00a0Nation of Victims<\/em>, published in 2022, in which he lambastes Trump for refusing to concede the election\u2019s outcome, dubbing him a \u201closer\u201d and and detailed Trump\u2019s futile efforts to overturn the results.<\/p>\n Draino continued, \u201cDo you think that the 2020 election was fair? Do you think that Joe Biden got the most votes in American history? Or do you think 2020 was rigged?\u201d<\/p>\n Ramaswamy provided a comprehensive response. He explained the nature of the quoted passage from his book, which he claimed had been taken out of context. According to Ramaswamy, he was actually referring to Stacey Abrams.<\/p>\n \u201cThose exact words I\u2019m referring to, of course, Stacey Abrams, that was literally the opening paragraph of that chapter.
