The Gateway Pundit reported<\/a> that British BREXIT leader Nigel Farage announced that UK banks shut down his accounts without explanation and his intention to take\u00a0legal action<\/a> against British Bank NatWest and the bank\u2019s former chief executive, Dame Alison Rose.<\/p>\n

The establishment are trying to force me out of the UK by closing my bank accounts.<\/p>\n

I have been given no explanation or recourse as to why this is happening to me.<\/p>\n

This is serious political persecution at the very highest level of our system.<\/p>\n

Now, Farage is blasting the results of an independent review that found no evidence that NatWest Group\u2019s private bank Coutts has been closing customer accounts due to their political views.<\/p>\n

The review did find, however, that the bank may have breached rules by failing to give due notice or explain why they were being shut down.<\/p>\n

The Guardian<\/a> shares that the report, compiled by external lawyers hired by NatWest after a dispute with Farage, said their team \u201cfound no evidence of discrimination in any of the exit cases, including no evidence of a customer\u2019s account being escalated for exit, or ultimately being exited, due to their political views or party-political affiliations, or any other protected characteristic.\u201d<\/p>\n

NatWest was forced to apologize to Farage after a bank report was released that found he was not \u201cinclusive enough\u201d and was holding \u201cThatcherite beliefs\u201d and his political positions were the reason he had his accounts closed.<\/p>\n

The Daily Mail<\/a> reported that NatWest was worried after the UK Treasury got involved and spoke out about unfair banking practices based on one\u2019s political beliefs. Treasury announced that UK banks will be subject to \u201cstricter rules\u201d over closing customers\u2019 accounts in an effort to protect freedom of speech in the country.<\/p>\n

Speaking with Camilla Tominey on GB News, Farage blasted the review, suggesting law firm Travers Smith had a political bias.<\/p>\n

\u201cTotal baloney.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYou only had to read the subject access request, which clearly said I \u2018did not align with the values of the bank.\u2019<\/p>\n
