That\u2019s the message from Maryland Sen. Ben Cardin anyway, the now-former employer of the man identified as being on the receiving end of anal sex during a romp that was recorded in a Senate hearing room and reported Friday by the Daily Caller<\/a>.<\/p>\n Cardin is a guy who once took to the Senate floor to describe the U.S. Capitol as a \u201csacred space.\u201d But he\u2019s singing a lawyerly song now.<\/p>\n In a video posted to X by conservative social media activist Colin Rugg, Cardin is shown in a video comparing the January 2021, Capitol incursion to the 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor and the terrorist attacks of 9\/11.<\/p>\n Democrat Senator Ben Cardin previously ranted about how the US Capitol was a \u201csacred space\u201d and is \u201cso much more\u201d than a building while comparing J6 to 9\/11.<\/p>\n Yesterday, video was released of his staffer having gay s*x in this \u201csacred space.\u201d<\/p>\n \u2026 and what did Cardin have to say?\u2026 pic.twitter.com\/9MSAffEUGm<\/a><\/p>\n \u2014 Collin Rugg (@CollinRugg) December 16, 2023<\/a><\/p>\n\n \u201cI refer to the U.S. Capitol as \u2018sacred space\u2019 because it\u2019s so much more than a building where the Senate and House of Representatives meet and conduct business,\u201d Cardin said in the video.<\/p>\n \u201cIt is the embodiment of our ideals, our aspirations and hopes \u2014 not just to Americans, but also to all of humanity.\u201d Now, those words should be coming back to haunt him.<\/p>\n In a split screen, Rugg posted the initial scene of the gay sex video that became public on Friday. The effect is to juxtapose Cardin\u2019s ludicrous oratory \u2014 likening the confrontation of the Capitol incursion that left one dead<\/a> to national tragedies that killed Americans by the thousands \u2014 with the image of an apparently naked man submitting to anal penetration by another man in the \u201csacred space\u201d of a Senate hearing room.<\/p>\n The fact that the man has been identified<\/a> as Aidan Maese-Czeropski, a 24-year-old now-former legislative aide in Cardin\u2019s office, just makes the juxtaposition more jarring.<\/p>\n And what is Cardin\u2019s office saying now?<\/p>\n \u201cAidan Maese-Czeropski is no longer employed by the U.S. Senate,\u201d the office said in a statement, according to the Washington Examiner<\/a>. \u201cWe will have no further comment on this personnel matter.\u201d<\/p>\n Really? No soaring eloquence about the hope of all humanity being turned into a backdrop for a D.C. domination\/submission fantasy?<\/p>\n No hyperbole about a literal stain on the seat of American democracy?<\/p>\n Nope. Just \u201cno further comment.\u201d<\/p>\n They hypocrisy is undeniable \u2014 and social media users noticed.<\/p>\n After hearing Senator Ben Cardin\u2019s thoughts on J6, did his staffers commit an insurrection on the Senate floor?<\/p>\n \u2014 Atlanta Conservative (@AtlantaConserv1) December 16, 2023<\/a><\/p>\n\n (\u201cInsurrection\u201d probably isn\u2019t quite the word.)<\/p>\n The sanctity of the Capitol, it seems, is selective. Senator Cardin\u2019s sanctimonious rhetoric about the Capitol as a \u2018sacred space\u2019 crumbles as his staffer\u2019s scandalous actions come to light. Nelson (@KevinMNelsonUSA) December 16, 2023<\/a><\/p>\n\n Cardin, the current chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee<\/a>, announced in May that he is not running for re-election next year, as The Associated Press<\/a> reported at the time.<\/p>\n So a man who\u2019s served since 2007 in the Senate, according to his Senate biography<\/a>, and for 20 years in the House before that, has apparently had his fill of the \u201csacred space\u201d apparently desecrated<\/a> by one of his own staffers.<\/p>\n And there\u2019s no getting around the mockery \u2014 the sneering indecency on display.<\/p>\n Want to make a gay porn video? Knock your socks off. The country is full of potential sets \u2014 and D.C. probably has more than its share per capita than, say, Salt Lake City. They weren\u2019t in the Senate hearing room because there was nowhere else to be. They were in the Senate hearing room to deliberately defile what Cardin claimed to hold so dear.<\/p>\n Maybe he might want to think about pushing his retirement date up a little bit \u2014 like maybe resign tomorrow.<\/p>\n It\u2019s long past time Americans have had their fill of Democratic hypocrisy<\/a>.<\/p>\n They have no shame. They have no guilt.
