Last week, a reporter for the liberal outlet Politico<\/em> appeared on MSNBC and suggested that if you\u2019re an American who believes that your rights come from God and not the government, that you\u2019re a Christian Nationalist.<\/a><\/p>\n

This was meant to insult all Christians, conservatives, Trump supporters, and all of the other people who are despised by the left.<\/p>\n

Now at least two Christian groups are calling out Politico<\/em> and demanding an apology.<\/p>\n

Townhall<\/a> reports:<\/p>\n

Now, Politico is facing formal calls for an apology from two of America\u2019s leading faith-focused organizations: the Family Research Council and Catholic Vote. <\/p>\n

FRC President Tony Perkins and Catholic Vote President Brian Burch fired off a letter Wednesday to Politico\u2019s editor-in-chief John Harris, Politico CEO Goli Sheikholeslami, and Jan Brewer, the Deputy of CEO of Politico\u2019s parent Axel Springer, demanding an apology for Przybyla\u2019s attack on Christians. <\/p>\n

Saying Przybyla \u201cdemonstrated a disqualifying lack of knowledge of the United States of America\u2019s founding documents and a prejudicial view toward American religious groups,\u201d Burch and Perkins noted how Politico\u2019s reporter failed to acknowledge \u201cthat our own Republic was founded on the belief that our rights come from God, not earthly kings or government,\u201d a revolutionary idea \u201cclearly articulated in the Declaration of Independence.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cMs. Przybyla is charged with reporting accurately on American government, politics, and law,\u201d the religious leaders\u2019 letter noted. \u201cIt is deeply disturbing, therefore, that she appeared unaware of the opening of the Declaration of Independence or to its references of \u2018the Laws of Nature and of Nature\u2019s God.’\u201d<\/p>\n

In addition to a woeful lack of knowledge about America\u2019s founding, Perkins and Burch called out Przybyla for \u201can attempt to spread misinformation about Christians by creating the perception that they hold unique beliefs that pose a distinct and, in her words \u2018extremist,\u2019 threat to our country.\u201d<\/p>\n

Here @MSNBC<\/a> helpfully makes it clear their disdain for Christians in America.<\/p>\n

She says that if you believe that your rights come from God, you aren\u2019t a Christian, you are a Christian nationalist.<\/p>\n
