Arizona rancher George Kelly, 75, sat down for an exclusive interview with NewsNation\u2019s Ali Bradley after state prosecutors decided not to retry his murder case.<\/p>\n

George Kelly told Ali Bradley he and his wife lost their life savings fighting the lawfare murder trial.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t feel that I was treated fairly in the investigation,\u201d George Kelly told NewsNation in an interview. \u201cI think I was arrested without cause, without probable cause.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYou can\u2019t put somebody in a situation and try to tell them, \u2018oh you\u2019ll be fine here.\u2019 No you won\u2019t be fine here\u2026\u201d George Kelly told Ali Bradley.<\/p>\n

He said he slept on the floor in jail before being taken to a cell block where he spent 22 days. Other inmates who were Mexican cartel members would threaten Kelly and say \u201cdead man walking\u201d as they walked by him.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve had a, you know a good life, but I\u2019ve had a hard life. Those 22 days\u2026 If\u2026 If hell is anything like that, I\u2019m gonna do everything I can not to go because that was the worst 22 days of my life\u2026\u201d George Kelly said of his time in jail.<\/p>\n

Kelly said he and his wife plan to move from their ranch in Kino Springs.<\/p>\n

He also maintains that he didn\u2019t kill Gabriel Cuen-Buitimea on January 30th last year. Kelly says someone else is responsible. <\/p>\n

State prosecutors on Monday said they will\u00a0not retry Arizona rancher George Kelly\u00a0<\/a>after a judge declared a mistrial following a hung jury.<\/p>\n

Judge Thomas Fink last Monday\u00a0declared a mistrial<\/a>\u00a0after an Arizona jury was unable to reach a unanimous verdict in the murder trial for Arizona rancher George Alan Kelly.<\/p>\n

Jurors deliberated a couple of weeks ago and were unable to reach a verdict. Deliberations continued pn the following Friday and after more than 7 hours the jury sent a note to the judge and informed him they could not reach a verdict.<\/p>\n

Kelly was arrested for killing Gabriel Cuen-Butimea, on his Arizona ranch in Kino Springs just outside of Nogales, Mexico on January 30, 2023.<\/p>\n

According to reports, Gabriel Cuen-Butimea has a history of illegally crossing into the United States and multiple deportations.<\/p>\n

According to the defense lawyers, Mr. Kelly fired warning shots after he saw a group of men dressed in camouflaged clothing point an AK-47 right at him.<\/p>\n

The rancher later discovered the deceased illegal alien, who is likely a cartel smuggler, when he went to go check on his horse.<\/p>\n

The bullet that killed Gabriel Cuen-Butimea was never recovered so authorities were never able to conduct a ballistics test to see if it matched George Kelly\u2019s AK-47.<\/p>\n

Kelly\u2019s defense attorneys argued cartel bandits shot and killed Gabriel Cuen-Butimea and robbed him.<\/p>\n
