Fani Willis\u2019 YSL RICO trial<\/a> went off the rails on Monday after rapper Young Thug\u2019s lawyer was held in contempt and jailed mid-trial.<\/p>\n

Brian Steel, the attorney representing Young Thug, AKA, Jeffrey Williams, and other defendants in a sprawling RICO case was jailed for contempt.<\/p>\n

Steel was reportedly held in contempt for not revealing his source who told him what happened in an ex parte hearing this morning, according to Law & Crime.<\/p>\n

Judge Ural Glanville held Brian Steel in contempt for not disclosing a source for a private conversation that involved a witness and the State.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m going to give you five minutes. If you don\u2019t tell me who it is, I\u2019m going to put you in contempt,\u201d Judge Glanville said to Brian Steel.<\/p>\n

Steel replied, \u201cI don\u2019t need five minutes.\u201d<\/p>\n

After a short recess, the judge gave the attorney one more chance.<\/p>\n

\u201cMr. Steel, I\u2019m going to ask you again. I need you to tell me how you got this information. This is so sacrosanct to have a conversation in my chambers parroted to you,\u201d the judge said.<\/p>\n

The deputy walked over to Brian Steel and whispered in his ear before he was taken into custody.<\/p>\n

This trial has been a total circus since day one.<\/p>\n

Earlier this year a top prosecutor from Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis\u2019 office screamed at the judge <\/a>overseeing the RICO trial of rapper Young Thug.<\/p>\n

Assistant District Attorney Adriane Love shouted at Judge Ural Glanville on Wednesday after she was told she wasn\u2019t properly handling the RICO case against Young Thug, AKA, Jeffrey Williams, and other defendants.<\/p>\n

\u201cWell, then you all should have gotten yourself together beforehand,\u201d the judge said to Love.<\/p>\n

The judge continued, \u201cHave a seat, madam! Have a seat! You better exclude that and next time, make sure you\u2019re prepared!\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYou continue to engage in this pattern of behavior, you don\u2019t want to accept my ruling, and I know you\u2019re trying to be an advocate, but at some point just stop,\u201d the judge said to Adriane Love. \u201cJust stop. I made my ruling.\u201d<\/p>\n

Adriane Love shouted over the judge and argued her office was handling evidence properly.<\/p>\n

\u201cJudge, we talked to them [the defense] this morning about that and attempted\u2026 I talked to them earlier this week!\u201d Love screamed. \u201cYour honor, so the court punishes the state because the defense\u2014\u201d<\/p>\n

The judge interrupted Love: \u201cI\u2019m not punishing anybody, but prior preparation prevents poor performance.\u201d<\/p>\n

Love shouted back: \u201cWe prepared, judge! That\u2019s why I sent them what I sent them last week! A whole week and a half ago! Two weeks, your honor!\u201d<\/p>\n

What a dumpster fire!<\/p>\n
