Trump White House Counsel Pat Cipollone has agreed to testify to the January 6 Committee.<\/p>\n

According to Bloomberg News, Mr. Cipollone will testify in a transcribed and video-recorded interview behind closed doors on Friday.<\/p>\n

Bloomberg reported<\/a>:<\/p>\n

Former White House Counsel Pat Cipollone has agreed to testify behind closed doors on Friday to the House committee investigating last year\u2019s assault on the US Capitol, people familiar with the matter said.<\/p>\n

Cipollone, who panel members say has emerged as a key witness into the activities of then President Donald Trump and his allies before and during the Jan. 6 insurrection, has agreed to sit for a transcribed and video-recorded interview after being subpoenaed, those people said Wednesday.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe select committee\u2019s investigation has revealed evidence that Mr. Cipollone repeatedly raised legal and other concerns about President Trump\u2019s activities on Jan. 6th and in the days that preceded,\u201d Committee Chairman Bennie Thompson said in a statement last week in announcing the subpoena.<\/p>\n

J6 Committee \u2018surprise\u2019 witness Cassidy Hutchinson last week testified, under oath, that Pat Cipollone was at the White House on the morning of January 6.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe understand, Ms. Hutchinson, that you also spoke to Mr. Cipollone on the morning of the 6th as you were about to go to the rally on the Ellipse,\u201d Liz Cheney said. \u201cMr. Cipollone said something to you like, \u2018make sure the movement to the Capitol does not happen.\u2019 Is that correct?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s correct. I saw Mr. Cipollone right before I walked out onto West Exec that morning and Mr. Cipollone said something to the effect of, \u2018Please make sure we don\u2019t go up to the Capitol \u2026 We\u2019re going to get charged with every crime imaginable if we make that movement happen,\u2019\u201d Hutchinson said.<\/p>\n

The January 6 Committee\u00a0subpoenaed Pat Cipollone<\/a>\u00a0following Hutchinson\u2019s testimony.<\/p>\n

However, according to multiple sources who spoke to The Federalist<\/a>, Pat Cipollone was not at the White House on the morning of January 6.<\/p>\n

GOP Rep. Jim Banks (IN) is now demanding the DHS turn over surveillance logs to investigate Hutchinson\u2019s claims.<\/p>\n
