In the runup to his May 2025 trial on the charges of racketeering, sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution, mogul rapper Sean \u2018Diddy\u2019 Combs is attempting to reverse his pre-trial incarceration and be granted bail.<\/p>\n

In their court filing, prosecutors argue against releasing Combs, saying he remains a flight risk and a risk to society, to witnesses in his trial and potentially to other victims.<\/p>\n

And \u2013 what\u2019s more \u2013 they accuse the disgraced star of continued criminal behavior from inside the Brooklyn MDC prison.<\/p>\n

NBC News<\/a> reported:<\/p>\n

\u201cFederal prosecutors have accused Sean \u201cDiddy\u201d Combs of breaking jail rules in an attempt to manipulate witness testimony and taint the potential jury pool in his case, according to a court document filed Friday.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

In custody at Brooklyn\u2019s Metropolitan Detention Center, Combs entered a not guilty plea.<\/p>\n

His legal team keeps fighting the decision to deny Combs bail and has requested yet another bail hearing.<\/p>\n

In their opposition to the motion, prosecutors accused Combs of obstruction from behind bars.<\/p>\n

\u201cCombs has allegedly \u2018continued to try to evade law enforcement monitoring, corruptly influence witness testimony, and further attack the integrity of these proceedings\u2019, the filing said.<\/em><\/p>\n

According to prosecutors, Combs has ordered payments to fellow inmates to use their telephone accounts and has used three-way calling to contact people who are not on his approved contacts list against federal prison regulations.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

By recording his phone calls, government was able to show how the rapper instructed family members \u2018to contact potential victims and witnesses in his case\u2019<\/em>.<\/p>\n

He was also \u2018promoting narratives on social media to influence a potential jury pool\u2019<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u201cSome details in the prosecution\u2019s filings were redacted, including excerpts of phone calls apparently made by Diddy and his \u2018adult son\u2019 that the prosecution say showed \u2018the clear inference that the defendant\u2019s goal is to blackmail victims and witnesses either into silence or providing testimony helpful to his defense\u2019.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

There are \u2018no conditions\u2019 that would assure that Combs is not a flight risk or a threat to the safety of others, the filing says.<\/p>\n

\u201c\u2019The defendant\u2019s emphasis on 24\/7 private security is also problematic\u2019, the motion said. \u2018The defendant has demonstrated an uncanny ability to get others to do his bidding \u2014 employees, family members, and MDC inmates alike\u2019.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
