House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) on Tuesday responded to leftwing outrage over a new proposal to ban biological men from women\u2019s restrooms, locker rooms, and changing rooms on Capitol Hill.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cA\u00a0man is a man, and a woman is a woman. And a man cannot become a woman,\u201d Johnson declared, making his stance clear amid growing backlash from the radical left over what restroom incoming\u00a0transgender Representative-elect Sarah McBride will be able to use.<\/p>\n

Earlier in the day, Johnson was asked by leftist reporters whether or not Sarah McBride is a man or a woman and if he plans on putting a bill to exclude biological males from women\u2019s restrooms into the rules package.<\/p>\n

In response to the former, Johnson stated, \u201cI\u2019m not going to engage in silly debates about this,\u201d noting that it\u2019s \u201d an issue that Congress has never had to address before.\u201d<\/p>\n

He clarified that \u201cwe will provide appropriate accommodation for every member of Congress,\u201d indicating that a nongendered restroom could be provided for McBride if he refuses to use the men\u2019s restroom.<\/p>\n

This comes as Rep. Nancy\u00a0Mace (R-SC) introduced a resolution that would bar biological males from using women\u2019s bathrooms and other female-only facilities on Capitol Hill, and leftists are losing their minds.<\/p>\n

Mace spoke to The Gateway Pundit on Tuesday evening about her resolution and responded to the \u201cinsane\u201d people who have threatened her life over the proposal.<\/p>\n

Undeterred, Mace told The Gateway Pundit, \u201cThis fight starts here, it starts now, and I\u2019m not going to stop with Capitol Hill. I\u2019ll be filing multiple bills to protect women and girls all across the country.\u201d<\/p>\n

Johnson:<\/strong> Hello, everybody. I just want to make a statement for all of you here and be very clear. I was asked a question this morning at the leadership gaggle, and I rejected the premise because the answer is so obvious.<\/p>\n

For anybody who doesn’t know my well-established record on this issue, let me be unequivocally clear: a man is a man, and a woman is a woman. And a man cannot become a woman.<\/strong><\/p>\n

That said, I also believe that’s what Scripture teaches, what I just said, but I also believe that we treat everybody with dignity, and so, we can do and believe all those things at the same time, and I wanted to make that clear for everybody because there’s lots of questions. But that’s where I stand. I’ve stood there my whole life, and those are facts.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
