Comedian Adam Carolla recently appeared on the \u2018Triggernometry\u2019<\/em> podcast and talked about the problem with progressives.<\/p>\n

Carolla suggests that the issue is that progressives start with something that seems reasonable to most people, but then keep pushing until they arrive at a place so extreme that people start to question things. Then progressives react by insulting anyone who disagrees.<\/p>\n

He offers the example of how the left went from marriage equality for gay people to gender surgeries for minors in a matter of just a few years.<\/p>\n

Adam Carolla illustrates the slippery slope of the \u2018progressive\u2019 movement:<\/p>\n

Adam Carolla: \u201cIt\u2019s called a progressive movement. And if you take progressive and movement, it means it just keeps going. They never pump the brakes <\/p>\n

It always starts with something reasonable. You go, Why shouldn\u2019t a gay couple be allowed to marry so they could have the same rights and privileges, you know, insurance and stuff, you know, whatever.<\/p>\n

Give it to them and then we can move forward and we won\u2019t have to argue about this thing.<\/p>\n

And then they go, Well, what\u2019s wrong with a little trans story hour? <\/p>\n

Well, we\u2019re thinking about trans kids, you know, getting healthy breasts cut off when they\u2019re 13 and taken puberty blockers. <\/p>\n

And you\u2019re like, No, I\u2019m not. <\/p>\n

And they go, I interesting. I didn\u2019t know you\u2019re homophobic and bigoted. You\u2019re like, what is going on? Well, what\u2019s going on is they keep going.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
