Damian Williams, the Biden-appointed US Attorney for the Southern District of New York (SDNY) finally got the boot.<\/p>\n

Williams announced on Monday that he will resign his position next month after Trump won the 2024 presidential election in a landslide. <\/p>\n

\u201cDamian Williams, the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, who has served as the chief federal law enforcement officer in the district, announced today his intention to resign his position as United States Attorney, effective 11:59 p.m. on December 13, 2024. Edward Y. Kim, who currently serves as Deputy United States Attorney, will become the Acting United States Attorney upon his departure,\u201d the DOJ announced on Monday in a press release<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cToday is a bittersweet day for me, as I announce my resignation as United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York. It is bitter in the sense that I am leaving my dream job, leading an institution I love that is filled with the finest public servants in the world. It is sweet in that I am confident I am leaving at a time when the Office is functioning at an incredibly high level \u2013 upholding and exceeding its already high standard of excellence, integrity, and independence. That success is due to the career attorneys, staff members, and law enforcement agents of this Office. Working with them during my tenure has been a privilege of a lifetime. They are worthy custodians of this Office\u2019s tradition of doing the right thing, the right way, for the right reasons. They are patriots. They are my family. And I will miss them dearly,\u201d Damian Williams said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI thank President Biden for nominating me as United States Attorney, and Attorney General Garland for leading the Department and supporting the Southern District of New York during my tenure. It has been an honor to serve the American people,\u201d Williams added.<\/p>\n

Recall that Damian Williams threw the book at Christians for peacefully protesting in front of an abortion clinic.<\/p>\n

Over the summer Bevelyn Beatty Williams was sentenced to three years in federal prison for preaching the Gospel in front of an abortion clinic.<\/p>\n

Bevelyn blocked the doors temporarily at an abortion clinic.<\/p>\n

She committed the same act Democrats commit almost weekly at government offices around the country.<\/p>\n

President Trump earlier this month nominated <\/a>former SEC Chairman Jay Clayton to be US Attorney for the Southern District of New York.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am pleased to announce that Jay Clayton, of New York, the Chairman of the US Securities and Exchange Commission during my first term, where he did an incredible job, is hereby nominated to be the US Attorney for the Southern District of New York,\u201d Trump said.<\/p>\n

Trump continued, \u201cJay is a highly respected business leader, counsel, and public servant. Jay received Engineering and Law degrees from the University of Pennsylvania, and an Economics degree from the University of Cambridge. Before chairing the SEC, Jay was a partner at Sullivan & Cromwell, and served on the Management Committee. He is currently a Senior Policy Advisor to Sullivan & Cromwell, a Board Member of Several Public and private companies, and an Adjunct Professor at the Wharton Business School, and the Carey Law School at the University of Pennsylvania. Jay is going to be a strong Fighter for the Truth as we, Make America Great Again.\u201d<\/p>\n

Good riddance to Merrick Garland and wicked US Attorneys like Damian Williams.<\/p>\n
