#SueTheView is trending in the United States on Twitter after Turning Point USA Student Action Summit in Tampa, Florida, faced slanderous commentary from Whoopi Goldberg and her co-hosts on \u201cThe View.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

Turning Point USA<\/a> is a powerful conservative activist organization dedicated to fighting woke college agendas.<\/p>\n

The Radical Left and the Fake News Media will do anything to stop them from exposing the indoctrination on college campuses.<\/p>\n

Turning Point\u2019s recent Student Action Summit event in Florida featured top conservative speakers, including President Trump and Governor Ron Desantis.<\/p>\n

The View\u2019s angry leftist co-hosts made false claims on the air about the student activist organization on Monday, saying that they welcomed alleged \u201cneo-nazi\u201d protestors into an event.<\/p>\n

TPUSA shared the following tweet thread debunking the lies. \u201cWho are these people? We have no idea, and apparently, ABC and other news outlets aren\u2019t curious enough to find out,\u201d they Tweeted.<\/p>\n

They have also announced a potential lawsuit, sending cease and desist letters to ABC News. \u201cYou cannot smear minors as Nazis and get away with it,\u201d said TPUSA founder and CEO Charlie Kirk.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

After a group of Antifa and left wing protesters showed up, predictably, to protest our event, they eventually dispersed, then minutes later these \u201cnazis\u201d appeared. Who are these people? Security attempted to remove these individuals. TPUSA also released a statement explaining that these disruptors were not at the event and that Turning Point USA condemns hateful ideologies.<\/p>\n

Turning Point USA issued a scathing cease and desist letter to ABC News on Tuesday, calling for the Disney-owned company to \u201cretract the defamatory statements\u201d made earlier this week on \u201cThe View\u201d<\/a> or face legal action.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe false statements of fact intentionally made during The View\u2019s July 25th segment were unquestionably harmful to TPUSA\u2019s reputation and brought the organization and its student affiliates into disrepute with the public, potential donors, and current and future business partners, posing a significant financial loss to the organization,\u201d the letter said.<\/p>\n

Fox News Digital has obtained the letter, addressed to ABC News New York bureau chief Joshua Hoyos and ABC assistant chief counsel Ian Rosenberg, which accuses \u201cThe View\u201d of making \u201cfalse, derogatory, and defamatory statements\u201d about its recent Student Action Summit<\/a>.<\/p>\n

On Monday, the daytime gabfest kicked off its program discussing the TPUSA Student Action Summit that occurred last weekend in Tampa, Florida. \u201cThe View\u201d co-hosts mocked the elaborate event for taking \u201ca page from the WWE\u201d simply because of special effects, inaccurately portrayed the group as being officially tied to the GOP and Joy Behar<\/a>criticized the group because neo-Nazi protestors were outside the venue.<\/p>\n

\u201cNeo-Nazis were out there in the front of the conference with anti-Semitic slurs and, you know, the Nazi swastika and a picture of a so-called Jewish person with exaggerated features, just like Goebbels did during the Third Reich. It\u2019s the same thing, right out of that same playbook,\u201d Behar said.<\/p>\n

She then said that Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis \u201cdid nothing,\u201d but failed to mention the Republican governor attended the event the day before neo-Nazis appeared.<\/p>\n

Later on the program, \u201cThe View\u201d read an on-air legal disclaimer to inform viewers that Turning Point USA<\/a> condemned the neo-Nazis protestors who had \u201cnothing to do\u201d with the organization.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut you let them in, and you knew what they were,\u201d Whoopi Goldberg inaccurately said before the panelists were forced to read another disclaimer and explain the neo-Nazis were \u201coutside protestors\u201d and TPUSA didn\u2019t let them in. \u201cMy point was metaphorical,\u201d Goldberg said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe View hosts intentionally and falsely associated TPUSA with neo-Nazi protestors outside the event placing TPUSA in denigrating and false light and negatively impacting its public perception. Such action will not be tolerated,\u201d the letter said.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cSpecifically, The View hosts insidiously and cavalierly stated that TPUSA \u2018let [neo-Nazis] in\u2019 to its SAS event, metaphorically \u2018embrase[d] them\u2019 and that neo-Nazis were \u2018in the mix of people.\u2019 The assertion that TPUSA is complicit or affiliated in any way with the neo-Nazi protesters outside the event is outlandish, false, defamatory, and disgraceful,\u201d the letter continued. \u201cEven after Ms. Haines reluctantly read the TPUSA statement that it condemns the group of neo-Nazis and that the group had nothing to do with TPUSA, its event, or its student attendees, Ms. Goldberg continues the false tirade against TPUSA, asserting that somehow the organization and its attendees were \u2018complicit\u2019 and\/or associated with the outside protest.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

Peterson then added, \u201cTo be abundantly clear, TPUSA aggressively and completely condemns the ideologies of neo-Nazism and has zero connection to the protestors outside the event. Since these individuals were located on public property, TPUSA security attempted to, but was not permitted to remove them.\u201d<\/p>\n

The letter also explained that TPUSA is a \u201ca tax-exempt public charity under Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3)\u201d that is not affiliated with the GOP.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn cases where the communication is of such a nature that the court can presume as a matter of law that the communication will tend to degrade or disgrace the party defamed, special damages are presumed,\u201d the letter said. \u201cTherefore, TPUSA demands that ABC immediately cease and desist from further unlawfully defaming TPUSA, retract the defamatory statements identified above, and issue a public statement apologizing for and correcting the above defamatory and false statements.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

The letter gave ABC News a deadline of July 27 for the retraction and apology.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cShould ABC decide not to comply with the demands above, TPUSA is prepared to promptly take all steps necessary to protect its rights, including pursuing all available legal remedies, seeking monetary and non-monetary damages, injunctive relief, and attorneys\u2019 fees and costs,\u201d the letter said.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n
