As Los Angeles confronts its most devastating wildfires in history, leftist Hollywood figures are voicing their discontent with the city\u2019s Democrat leadership, particularly Mayor Karen Bass, over perceived failures in crisis management.<\/p>\n

The Palisades Fire, which ignited on Tuesday, has rapidly consumed over 17,000 acres, destroying at least 1,000 structures and forcing tens of thousands to evacuate.<\/p>\n

Mayor Bass faced criticism for being abroad in Ghana during the initial outbreak.<\/p>\n

Upon her return, she defended her administration\u2019s response, stating, \u201cAlthough I wasn\u2019t physically here, I was in touch with many of the individuals standing here throughout the entire time.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, her absence and the city\u2019s preparedness have been scrutinized. She returned to Los Angeles on Wednesday but\u00a0declined to answer questions<\/a>\u00a0regarding her absence and\u00a0previous budget cuts<\/a>\u00a0to the LAFD.<\/p>\n

Now, Hollywood\u2019s leftist elite are turning their backs on Bass amidst the city\u2019s worsening wildfire crisis, according to the New York Post.<\/p>\n

Actress Sarah Michelle Gellar took to Instagram to criticize the city\u2019s evacuation efforts, stating, \u201cCity of LA you want everyone to evacuate yet you have complete gridlock and not one traffic cop on the roads helping,\u201d while tagging Mayor Bass and the city.<\/p>\n

Similarly, actress Sara Foster expressed her frustration on social media.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe pay the highest taxes in California. Our fire hydrants were empty. Our vegetation was overgrown, brush not cleared. Our reservoirs were emptied by our governor because tribal leaders wanted to save fish. Our fire department budget was cut by our mayor. But thank god drug addicts are getting their drug kits,\u201d she wrote.<\/p>\n

Foster went further to call for the resignation of both Mayor Bass and Governor Gavin Newsom, accusing their \u201cfar left policies\u201d of ruining the state and the Democrat party.<\/p>\n
