Governor Gavin Newsom pretended to be on the phone with Joe Biden on Thursday as an angry constituent demanded answers on his disastrous wildfire response after her daughter\u2019s school burned down.<\/p>\n

\u201cGovernor! You got a second? Governor! Governor! I live here, Governor! That was my daughter\u2019s school, Governor!\u201d a Pacific Palisades woman shouted as she sprinted over to confront Newsom.<\/p>\n

Newsom was just about to hop into his motorcade when an angry woman caught up with him and demanded answers after Los Angeles was reduced to a pile of ashes because the city\u2019s hydrants were dry.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m literally talking with the president right now to specifically answer the question of what we could do for you and your daughter,\u201d Newsom said.<\/p>\n

Only he lied. Joe Biden was not on the phone and the woman knew it.<\/p>\n

\u201cCan I hear it? Can I hear your call? Because I don\u2019t believe it,\u201d the woman said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m sorry, there\u2019s literally, I\u2019ve tried five times. That\u2019s why I\u2019m walking around to make the call,\u201d Newsom said lying his face off.<\/p>\n

The woman pressed Newsom, \u201cWhy isn\u2019t the president taking your call?\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cBecause it\u2019s not going through, so I have to get cell service. There\u2019s no cell service,\u201d Newsom said.<\/p>\n

\u201cLet\u2019s get it, let\u2019s get it, I want to be here when you call the president,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI appreciate it, I\u2019m doing that right now and it\u2019s to immediately get reimbursements, individual assistance and to help you out. I\u2019m devastated for you, I\u2019m so sorry, especially for your daughter. I have four kids,\u201d Newsom said.<\/p>\n

\u201cGovernor, please tell me! What are you gonna do with the president right now? Why was there no water in the hydrants, Governor? Fill the hydrants! I would fill up them up personally you know that. I would fill up the hydrants myself. But would you do that?\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would do whatever I can,\u201d Newsom replied.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut you\u2019re not!\u201d the woman shouted. \u201cBut I see \u2014 do you know there\u2019s water dripping over there, Governor? There\u2019s water coming out of there, you can use it!\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI appreciate that, I\u2019m gonna make the call to address everything I can right now, including making sure people are safe,\u201d Newsom said as he opened the door to his motorcade to get away from the woman.<\/p>\n
