Incoming Vice President JD Vance has received some notable criticism for his comments on J6 protesters earlier today, and now he is firing back.<\/p>\n

As The Gateway Pundit reported<\/a>, Vance appeared on Fox News Sunday today to speak about the incoming Trump Administration\u2019s plans to save America. But he inadvertently whipped up a social media uproar when the subject turned to J6 pardons.<\/p>\n

During the discussion, Vance revealed to host Shannon Bream how Trump will decide who should get a pardon and who should stay in jail. And this is bad news for some notable J6 prisoners.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s very simple,\u201d Vance said. \u201cIf you protested peacefully on Jan. 6th, and you had Merrick Garland\u2019s Department of Justice treat you like a gang member \u2013 you should be pardoned.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you committed violence on that day, obviously, you should not be pardoned,\u201d he continued. \u201cThere\u2019s a little bit of a grey area there, but we\u2019re committed to seeing the equal administration of law.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd there are a lot of people in the wake of J6 who were prosecuted unfairly, and we need to rectify that.\u201d<\/p>\n

His comments received a mixed response across the country. Some called <\/a>the standard reasonable, while others accused him of selling <\/a>out.<\/p>\n

One big-name conservative duo, comedians Keith and Kevin Hodge, blasted Vance and warned him to rethink his statements.<\/p>\n

He also said there was no daylight between him and Trump on the J6 Pardons.<\/p>\n

\u201cSecond, there were federal informants in the crowd. Do they get a pardon? I don\u2019t think so,\u201d Vance continued. \u201cThe president saying he\u2019ll look at each case (and me saying the same) is not some walkback.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI assure you, we care about people unjustly locked up. Yes, that includes people provoked and it includes people who got a garbage trial.\u201d<\/p>\n
