Let me preface this article by telling all of my readers:\u00a0 You can use any blue or black ballpoint pen you bring to the voting booth or poll.\u00a0 Do not let anyone there force you or pressure you into using their pen against your wishes.<\/strong><\/p>\n

On Tuesday, The Gateway Pundit reported<\/a> that SharpieGate 2.0 was perhaps in the making when Maricopa Co Recorder Stephen Richer about faced on his July 7th tweet saying \u201cuse any black or blue pen\u201d.\u00a0 He tweeted on July 26th that \u201cwe will give ALL voters a special pen at voting locations.\u00a0 PLEASE PLEASE use this pen.\u201d\u00a0 He then states that other pens don\u2019t dry quick enough and can \u201cgunk\u201d the tabulators, requiring cleaning.<\/p>\n

Just texted a friend who sent out a message that she will ignore instructions, not use the given pen, and will use a ballpoint blue pen. <\/p>\n

Let’s call it what it is. She’s trying to disrupt the primary.<\/p>\n

Just use the darn pen given to you on election day.<\/p>\n

The use of all caps to emphasize \u201cplease please\u201d and \u201call\u201d in his tweet about using the new \u201cspecial pen\u201d has overtones of desperation.\u00a0 But last night, Richer took his desperation a step further, accusing a \u201cfriend\u201d of trying to disrupt the primary and then commanding you to \u201cjust use the darn pen given to you on election\u201d.<\/p>\n

If the above dialogue actually took place, Richer is accusing a \u201cfriend\u201d of trying to disrupt a primary<\/strong> because they are telling folks to bring their own pen<\/strong>.\u00a0 Think about that.\u00a0 I remind you that this is the same county that archived files, removed them off the system, and then failed to hand them over in a subpoena requesting all election records.\u00a0 It\u2019s the same county that brought in a private contractor to \u201caudit\u201d their machines before Cyber Ninjas did.\u00a0 That contractor was also the same company that reportedly \u201ccertified\u201d the machines prior to the election.\u00a0 This is just a slight<\/em> conflict of interest.\u00a0 It\u2019s the same county that query bombed their system with over 30,000 login attempts to clear the login history prior to the Pro V&V \u201caudit\u201d they conducted prior to the senate ordered audit.\u00a0 But a citizen tweeting they\u2019re bringing their own pen to vote<\/strong>?\u00a0 Disruption!<\/p>\n

His next tweet in this thread was also disturbing:<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a primary.\u00a0 What the heck do you think we get out of giving people a special pen other than a smooth functioning election?\u00a0 Do you think we\u2019re just asking you to use the Pentel pen to be funny?\u00a0 Good lord people.\u201d<\/p>\n

I\u2019m not sure why the fact that this is a primary election makes it any less important for each vote to count properly.\u00a0 It\u2019s also bizarre to qualify the statement \u201cwhat the heck do you think we get out of giving people a special pen\u2026?\u201d with \u201cit\u2019s a primary.<\/em>\u201d\u00a0 As if to say in a general<\/em> election<\/em>, sure, perhaps then we\u2019d try some shenanigans, but this is just a primary<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Maricopa voters and Arizonan\u2019s still have a sour taste from the 2020 election when Election Day in-person voters were prompted to use Sharpies to mark their ballots contrary to previous advice<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In 2020, Arizona residents heard that VoteSecure paper was going to be used exclusively and would be resistant to bleed through initially.\u00a0 It wasn\u2019t and it wasn\u2019t. Then we heard that the bleed through wouldn\u2019t overlap with other races.\u00a0 It didn\u2019t.\u00a0 Unless, of course, the timing marks were off. <\/a><\/p>\n

Speaking of paper, either BOS Chairman Bill Gates or senate liaison Ken Bennett perjured themselves in this congressional hearing:<\/p>\n

Are these machines so inherently flawed that they cannot perform the literal job they were designed to do without using a special type of pen that was determined to cause issues in 2012<\/a> in\u00a0 neighboring Pima Co?\u00a0 Why isn\u2019t this an issue in any other counties across the country?\u00a0 Are there records of the pen \u201cgunk\u201d causing malfunctions in 2018 or any previous elections in Maricopa?<\/p>\n

Yes, SharpieGate<\/strong> was real.\u00a0 Yes, SharpieGate<\/strong> had an impact on the 2020 election in Maricopa.<\/p>\n

Bring your own pen, Maricopa.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n
