But where was PETA during the last four years?<\/p>\n

Oh, I know where \u2014 they were publicly criticizing him, siding with his enemies, ignoring his huge accomplishments for animals in labs, and trying to co-opt efforts of more effective organizations.<\/p>\n

Just a few months ago, PETA was trying to capitalize on Alvin Bragg\u2019s witch hunt and <\/span>enlist Stormy Daniels to star in an ad mocking Donald Trump<\/span><\/a>. PETA even called Donald Trump, Jr. an \u201coverprivileged and cheating lout\u201d and <\/span>said he should be deported<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Worst of all, though, are PETA\u2019s blatant lies about Trump\u2019s record. After the first Trump Administration made historic progress to end cruel animal tests, in November 2021 <\/span>PETA tweeted<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>\u201cUnfortunately, Trump did nothing to stop animal experimentation.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n

Unfortunately, Trump did nothing to stop animal experimentation. But right now, Biden has the opportunity to do just that. He must appoint a new NIH director who is competent, cares about actual science, and doesn\u2019t needlessly abuse animals. https:\/\/t.co\/Nchsc5jlj9<\/a><\/p>\n

What!? Stop the presses.<\/span><\/p>\n

Donald Trump personally defunded the Wuhan Institute of Virology, the Fauci-funded animal lab that probably unleashed COVID. Trump\u2019s FDA ended nicotine addiction tests on monkeys and retired them to a sanctuary, his EPA launched a plan to end all animal tests, his USDA ended kitten testing, his VA cut dog experiments, and several agencies under Trump enacted lab animal retirement policies for the first time.<\/span><\/p>\n

These accomplishments followed investigations by the non-profit White Coat Waste Project, and WCW\u2019s president and founder recently <\/span>highlighted<\/span><\/a> some of the wins his group scored with the Trump Administration to eliminate cruel animal tests:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cPerhaps Trump\u2019s most legendary blow against animal testing came in April 2020 \u2013 just days after a <\/span><\/i>WCW investigation<\/span><\/i><\/a> first exposed how Fauci\u2019s National Institute of Health (NIH) division bankrolled the Wuhan lab. Following our expos\u00e9, the president <\/span><\/i>personally took to the airwaves<\/span><\/i><\/a> and summarily slashed the EcoHealth Alliance\u2019s grant, calling it \u201ctremendous waste.\u201d Most Americans now agree that these gain-of-function experiments on humanized mice almost certainly caused a lab leak and COVID.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

This wasn\u2019t the Trump Administration\u2019s only victory against bureaucrats who butcher beagles, bunnies and other animals.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Following another WCW investigation, Trump\u2019s Food and Drug Administration (FDA) chief shut down absurd $5.5 million nicotine addiction tests on baby monkeys, <\/span><\/i>retired the primates<\/span><\/i><\/a> to a sanctuary and enacted the government\u2019s first-ever agency-wide <\/span><\/i>lab animal retirement policy<\/span><\/i><\/a>.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Trump\u2019s Department of Agriculture also <\/span><\/i>shuttered the government\u2019s largest cat laboratory<\/span><\/i><\/a>. Our organization exposed how the USDA wasted $22 million on a boondoggle where the agency bought dog and cat meat at <\/span><\/i>Chinese wet markets<\/span><\/i><\/a>, flew the pet parts home in carry-on luggage and force-fed it to kittens inside a Beltway lab. Over 5,000 animals perished in USDA\u2019s \u201c<\/span><\/i>Kitten Slaughterhouse<\/span><\/i><\/a>.\u201d I <\/span><\/i>adopted<\/span><\/i><\/a> two cats that were <\/span><\/i>liberated<\/span><\/i><\/a> from this decades-old program, so <\/span><\/i>I\u2019m especially grateful<\/span><\/i><\/a> Trump finally shut it down.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

With support from WCW allies including <\/span><\/i>Lara Trump<\/span><\/i><\/a>, President Trump\u2019s first Veterans Affairs Secretary put the ball in motion to <\/span><\/i>end dog and cat testing<\/span><\/i><\/a> at the agency. We\u2019ve since <\/span><\/i>completely eliminated<\/span><\/i><\/a> the tests despite the Biden Administration\u2019s best efforts <\/span><\/i>to keep them going<\/span><\/i><\/a>.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Trump\u2019s Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) administrator Andrew Wheeler unveiled <\/span><\/i>a landmark plan<\/span><\/i><\/a> to completely end testing on dogs, rabbits and other mammals by 2035 and retire lab animals. Unfortunately, the <\/span><\/i>Biden-Harris administration killed<\/span><\/i><\/a> the concept to cut animal tests soon after they took power in 2021, <\/span><\/i>much to the chagrin<\/span><\/i><\/a> of Republicans and Democrats in Congress.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Even anti-Trump press like <\/span>Vox<\/span><\/a> and <\/span>Science<\/span><\/a> are admitting that Trump made big cuts to animal testing, and they\u2019re afraid he\u2019ll do it again.<\/span><\/p>\n

But, according to the <\/span>woke<\/span><\/a> liberals<\/span><\/a> at PETA,<\/span> \u201cUnfortunately, Trump did nothing to stop animal experimentation.\u201d <\/b>And now they want his support?<\/span><\/p>\n

Trump adviser <\/span>Roger Stone recently partnered with White Coat Waste<\/span><\/a> to outline a plan for the incoming Trump Administration and the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).\u00a0 Stone wrote, \u201cIn his triumphant return to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, President Trump is perfectly positioned to pick up where he left off and make even more animal welfare history by cutting reckless spending that hurts animals and taxpayers.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Let\u2019s hope that President Trump continues to MAGA for animals but that the White House door never opens for PETA.<\/span><\/p>\n
