The\u00a0tabloids<\/a> lit up after Michelle Obama skipped Jimmy Carter\u2019s funeral and announced she wouldn\u2019t be attending Trump\u2019s inauguration.<\/p>\n

Barack Obama attended Jimmy Carter\u2019s funeral alone after his wife had a so-called scheduling conflict.<\/p>\n

According to Page Six, Michelle Obama was reportedly furious when she saw Barack having a friendly chat with Trump at Jimmy Carter\u2019s funeral.<\/p>\n

Michelle Obama has been open about her less-than-perfect marriage. She previously said there was a solid 10-year period where\u00a0she could not stand being married to Barack Obama<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cPeople think I\u2019m being catty for saying this. It\u2019s like, there were 10 years where I couldn\u2019t stand my husband,\u201d Michelle Obama said in remarks to Revolt.<\/p>\n

According to\u00a0author Edward Klein<\/a>, Michelle Obama started writing up divorce papers back in 2000 but they were able to salvage their marriage.<\/p>\n

Michelle Obama has reportedly \u201cchecked out\u201d and is totally over the DC life, according to a Beltway insider who spoke to Page Six.<\/p>\n

Barack and Michelle Obama were lasted spotted together in Los Angeles last month. Eyewitnesses said the couple looked unhappy during their night out to dinner. <\/p>\n

Page Six reported<\/a>:<\/p>\n

But those who know the Obamas \u2014 who share two grown daughters, Malia, 26, and Sasha, 23 \u2014 say the couple have always made it clear their marriage is not a fairytale.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey don\u2019t pretend that they have this Camelot relationship,\u201d said the source who has worked with them. \u201cThey\u2019re not trying to present that they\u2019re this magical couple.\u201d<\/p>\n

Even so, Michelle has been \u201cchecked out\u201d of DC life ever since the couple left the White House back in January 2017, according to a Beltway insider.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s led to \u201ccertainly nonstop chatter that Michelle is fed up with the political circus, and pretending everything is OK with Barack all the time,\u201d said the high-society insider. \u201cWhat this will all lead to is to be revealed in time.\u201d<\/p>\n

While it\u2019s been reported that the Obamas\u2019 primary residence is in the Kalorama neighborhood of DC \u2014 where, in June 2017, they bought a home for $8.1 million \u2014 Michelle is said to spend a lot of time on Martha\u2019s Vineyard, where they own a $11.75 million ocean-front compound.<\/p>\n

Another source confirmed that Michelle is \u201cmostly Martha\u2019s Vineyard, never in DC,\u201d and multiple others said they had been on the island last summer without Barack and appeared \u201chappy and content.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

On Friday, Barack Obama posted <\/a>a photo of him and Michelle amid rumors that the two are headed for divorce.<\/p>\n
