In a final act of blatant disregard for justice, outgoing President Joe Biden issued a preemptive pardon to Dr. Anthony Fauci, the former director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, shielding him from any future prosecution related to his mishandling of the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n

Fauci, who has been widely criticized for his inconsistent guidance, misleading statements, coverup, and involvement in controversial research funding, now escapes accountability thanks to Biden\u2019s unprecedented use of executive clemency.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor more than half a century, Dr. Fauci served our country. He saved countless lives by managing the government\u2019s response to pressing health crises, including HIV\/AIDS, as well as the Ebola and Zika viruses. During his tenure as my Chief Medical Advisor, he helped the country tackle a once-in-a-century pandemic. The United States is safer and healthier because of him,\u201d Biden wrote<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Recall that in the 1980s, during the height of the AIDS epidemic, Dr. Fauci told Americans that children<\/a> could catch AIDS from casual contact.<\/p>\n

Fauci also\u00a0withheld successful treatments<\/a> from AIDS patients for over a year as THOUSANDS died. He wanted a vaccine\u2014that never came.<\/p>\n

Fauci, the former head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), has finally broken his silence following the controversial decision.<\/p>\n

Fauci spoke with CNN\u2019s Dana Bash during the network\u2019s coverage of President Donald Trump\u2019s inauguration.<\/p>\n

Bash said that while Fauci is \u2018 very appreciative\u2019 of the pardon, he once again insisted he did not commit any crimes while overseeing the United States\u2019 response to the COVID pandemic.<\/p>\n

\n\u201cI talked briefly to Anthony Fauci, who got one of the pardons, who said he is very appreciative of what President Biden did. He said, and again and again, he has done nothing wrong, but there are baseless accusations against him in his view, and he has been very worried about what it will mean for him, and even more so for his family.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
