Once someone is marked in the public eye as an Epstein friend or client, it becomes very difficult to cleanse their reputation.<\/p>\n

Take, for instance, the very controversial Lord Peter Mandelson, the man chosen by failing UK Prime Minster Keir Starmer to be the next ambassador to the US: no matter how much time has passed, or how he has tried to whitewash his biography, there\u2019s just no way his connection to Epstein is going to be memory-holed, even if \u2018Petey\u2019 throws tantrums when confronted with it.<\/p>\n

It has arisen today that Lord Mandelson told a journalist very unceremoniously to \u2018f*ck off\u2019 when asked about his relationship with the late pedophile \u2018financier\u2019.<\/p>\n

The Telegraph<\/a> reported:<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen asked about his relationship with the financier by the Financial Times, Lord Mandelson said he did not want to discuss it.<\/em><\/p>\n

He said: \u2018I regret ever meeting him or being introduced to him by his partner Ghislaine Maxwell. I regret even more the hurt he caused to many young women. I\u2019m not going to go into this. It\u2019s an FT [Financial Times] obsession and frankly you can all [f*ck off]. OK?\u2019\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Mandelson made the comments during an in-depth interview with The Financial Times as he prepares to take up his new role as Britain\u2019s ambassador to the US.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe had previously retracted his characterization of Donald Trump, the US president as \u2018a danger to the world\u2019, and insisted that he would approach the new administration with \u2018respect, seriousness and understanding of where they are coming from politically.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

PM Starmer\u2019s spokesman declined to say whether it was appropriate for Lord Mandelson to tell the journalist to \u2018f*ck off\u2019 \u2013 maybe they think it\u2019s cool.<\/p>\n

[\u2026] He\u2019s widely respected, he\u2019s got significant experience and will be an excellent ambassador to the US\u2019.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Mendelson added in the interview: \u201cSome around Mr Trump see me as they view many in Europe. They see me as a Left-wing progressive, somebody who might even be anti-business or somebody who might be following the sort of liberalism they\u2019ve just defeated in America. What they will discover is I\u2019m not an uber-liberal, I\u2019m not a wokey-cokey sort of person, and I\u2019m pro-market and pro-business.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
