The Justice Department will launch an inquiry into the individuals and networks stealing government property and threatening government employees. <\/p>\n

Ed Martin, the Acting US Attorney for DC, sent Elon Musk a letter informing him that he will be launching an inquiry after a referral from DOGE.<\/p>\n

\u201cThank you for the referral of individuals and networks who appear to be stealing government property and\/or threatening government employees. After your referral, as is my practice, I will begin an inquiry,\u201d Ed Martin wrote in a letter to Elon Musk.<\/p>\n

Earlier this week Ed Martin announced <\/a>his office would be charging and arresting individuals who threatened Elon Musk\u2019s DOGE team.<\/p>\n

Ed Martin did not name any names as he announced that arrests and charges were coming. It is unclear which laws were violated.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur initial review of the evidence presented to us indicates that certain individuals and\/or groups have committed acts that appear to violate the law in targeting DOGE employees,\u201d Ed Martin said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are in contact with the FBI and other law-enforcement partners to proceed rapidly. We also have our prosecutors preparing,\u201d Ed Martin added.<\/p>\n

On Monday Ed Martin sent Elon Musk a letter informing him that his office will not tolerate threats against DOGE workers after Wired outed Elon\u2019s team of Gen Z whiz kids.<\/p>\n

\u201cI recognize that some of the staff at DOGE has been targeted publicly. At this time, I ask that you utilize me and my staff to assist in protecting the DOGE work and the DOGE workers. Any threats, confrontations, or other actions in any way that impact their work may break numerous laws,\u201d Ed Martin wrote in a letter to Elon Musk.<\/p>\n

\u201cLet me assure you of this: we will pursue any and all legal action against anyone who impedes your work or threatens your people. We will not act like the previous administration who looked the other way as the Antifa and BLM rioters as well as thugs with guns trashed our capital city. We protect DOGE and other workers no matter what.\u201d<\/p>\n
