The D-list actress also called for New York to secede from the United States during her interview with The New Yorker<\/a>, which was published on Monday.<\/p>\n Trump made himself the chairman of the Kennedy Center in February after replacing all members of the board.<\/p>\n Under its previous leadership, the Kennedy Center had hosted drag shows for \u201call ages.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cJust last year, the Kennedy Center featured Drag Shows specifically targeting our youth \u2014 THIS WILL STOP,\u201d Trump wrote in a Truth Social post<\/a> announcing the takeover. \u201cThe Kennedy Center is an American Jewel, and must reflect the brightest STARS on its stage from all across our Nation. For the Kennedy Center, THE BEST IS YET TO COME!\u201d<\/p>\n LuPone remains outraged at the new leadership, calling for it to be \u201cblown up\u201d multiple times while speaking to the reporter.<\/p>\n The New Yorker reports:<\/p>\n She\u2019s even angrier at the rest of the country. She told me, more than once, that the Trumpified Kennedy Center \u201cshould get blown up.\u201d In the S.U.V., apropos the current Administration, she pronounced, \u201cLeave. New York. Alone. Make it its own country. I mean, is there any other city in America that\u2019s as diverse, as in-your-face? It\u2019s a live-or-die city, it really is. Stick it out or leave.\u201d The car dropped her off at a restaurant on the Upper West Side.
