Last Monday, US Attorney Alina Habba announced\u00a0<\/a>federal charges against Democrat Rep. LaMonica McIver for assaulting ICE agents.<\/p>\n

\u201cToday my office has charged Congresswoman McIver with violation of Title 18, United States Code, Section 111(a)(1) for assaulting, impeding and interfering with law enforcement,\u201d Alina Habba said on Monday evening.<\/p>\n

ICE bodycam footage showed Democrat Rep. LaMonica McIver verbally abusing and physically assaulting federal agents at a detention facility in Newark.<\/p>\n

LaMonica McIver appeared before a judge<\/a> last Wednesday after the Justice Department charged her with federal crimes for assaulting ICE agents.<\/p>\n

Rep. McIver appeared virtually from DC. She was released on her own recognizance and did not have to post bail.<\/p>\n

The judge ordered McIver to surrender her firearms and said she cannot travel outside of the US.<\/p>\n
