The internet lit up this week after Elon Musk ignited a firestorm by going after President Donald Trump\u2014and then quickly backed down<\/em>.<\/p>\n

What started as a disagreement over Trump\u2019s \u201cOne Big Beautiful Bill\u201d (OBBB)\u2014a sweeping tax and trade reform plan aimed at supercharging American manufacturing, reducing the deficit, and cutting off the globalist money faucet<\/em>\u2014turned into something far darker.<\/p>\n

The feud escalated when Musk, in a now-deleted post on X (formerly Twitter), accused Trump of being involved in the Jeffrey Epstein scandal.<\/p>\n

Musk wrote on X, \u201cTime to drop the really big bomb: @realDonaldTrump is in the Epstein files. That is the real reason they have not been made public. Have a nice day, DJT!\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued, \u201cMark this post for the future. The truth will come out.\u201d<\/p>\n

Musk even shared a decades-old video<\/a> of President Trump speaking briefly with Epstein at a Mar-a-Lago party in 1992\u2014footage that has circulated for years and proves absolutely nothing.<\/p>\n

Musk calmed down Thursday night after going off on Trump in several nasty posts on X. Responding to a poster with (at the time) 184 followers who pleaded with Musk to \u201ccool off\u201d in response to Musk posting as part of his fight with Trump he would decommission the Dragon space capsule relied on by NASA to shuttle astronauts and cargo to the International Space Station, Musk said<\/a>, \u201cGood advice. Ok, we won\u2019t decommission Dragon.\u201d<\/p>\n

A few minutes later Musk responded positively to a plea for peace by Bill Ackman who posted, \u201cI support @realDonaldTrump and @elonmusk and they should make peace for the benefit of our great country. We are much stronger together than apart.\u201d<\/p>\n

Just as suddenly as the posts appeared, they vanished. By early Saturday morning, Musk\u2019s tweet had been deleted.<\/p>\n

Time<\/a> reported:<\/p>\n

Musk\u2019s Epstein-related post was no longer showing, with X users instead receiving a notice that reads: \u201cSorry, that post has been deleted<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

And it\u2019s not the only post of Musk\u2019s that has been deleted. Another inflammatory post from Thursday, which saw Musk respond \u201cyes,\u201d endorsing a message that said \u201cTrump should be impeached\u201d and that Vance \u201cshould replace him,\u201d\u00a0is also no longer viewable on X<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The deleted posts suggest that the explosive feud between Trump and his one-time ally could be thawing.<\/p>\n

Musk\u2019s original posts came as Trump also\u00a0lobbed insults and threatened to take<\/a>\u00a0away government funding and contracts related to billionaire Musk\u2019s Space X company. The row started when Musk aired his grievances with Trump\u2019s\u00a0\u201cBig, Beautiful Bill<\/a>,\u201d which is being considered by the Senate. The Tesla CEO branded the bill a \u201cdisgusting abomination\u201d and\u00a0told his millions of followers<\/a>\u00a0to \u201ccall your Senator, call your Congressman\u2026 kill the bill.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Elon Musk also deleted a tweet where he said he would apologize profusely to President Trump once the \u201cfull dump\u201d of the Epstein files is released.<\/p>\n

Although tensions seem to be easing for now, Trump has made it clear he has no intention of reconciling with Musk.<\/p>\n

President Trump spoke to ABC News Friday morning, \u201che\u2019s \u201cnot particularly\u201d interested in talking to Elon Musk, and calls him a \u201cman who has lost his mind,\u201d (adding) He said Musk wants to talk to him, but he\u2019s not ready to talk to Musk.\u201d<\/p>\n
