Protestors started fires, threw projectiles at law enforcement officers and damaged property in response to LA Mayor Karen Bass\u2019s call for action.<\/p>\n<p>Democrat Karen Bass fanned the flames late Friday with an attack on ICE agents.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">We will not stand for this. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/Ug1CN4JKOz\">pic.twitter.com\/Ug1CN4JKOz<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Mayor Karen Bass (@MayorOfLA) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MayorOfLA\/status\/1931114654027358271?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">June 6, 2025<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Hegseth made the announcement shortly after President Trump <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegatewaypundit.com\/2025\/06\/breaking-border-czar-tom-homan-we-are-going\/\" target=\"_blank\">signed <\/a>a presidential memorandum deploying 2,000 National Guardsmen to \u201caddress the lawlessness.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe violent mob assaults on ICE and Federal Law Enforcement are designed to prevent the removal of Criminal Illegal Aliens from our soil; a dangerous invasion facilitated by criminal cartels (aka Foreign Terrorist Organizations) and a huge NATIONAL SECURITY RISK,\u201d Hegseth said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUnder President Trump, violence &amp; destruction against federal agents &amp; federal facilities will NOT be tolerated. It\u2019s COMMON SENSE,\u201d Hegseth said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe @DeptofDefense is mobilizing the National Guard IMMEDIATELY to support federal law enforcement in Los Angeles.
