It appears that the Democrats have gone too far over Los Angeles, even for liberal, former CNN journalist Chris Cillizza.<\/p>\n

In a recent video, he commented that Democrats are \u2018colossally stupid\u2019 for fighting Trump over this, noting that the public can see the burning cars, the looting, the vandalism and rioters attacking police.<\/p>\n

Democrats seem to be trapped in a time warp. They think it\u2019s still 2016 and that they can \u2018resist\u2019 their way through the next three years. That is not going to happen and even this guy can see it.<\/p>\n

\u201cDemocrats appear entirely comfortable with playing along on this, which is colossally stupid from a political perspective,\u201d Cillizza said, taking aim at Democratic California Gov. Gavin Newsom for daring border czar Tom Homan to \u201ccome after [him]\u201d and \u201carrest\u201d him\u2026<\/p>\n

\u201c[Newsom] was on MSNBC on Sunday night where he basically said, like, to Tom Homan \u2026 he basically said, \u2018Why doesn\u2019t Tom Homan just come and arrest me? He\u2019s not such a tough guy.\u2019 I don\u2019t know why that would \u2014 this is not about Gavin Newsom, right?\u201d Cillizza added. \u201cTo personalize it like that makes no sense.\u201d\u2026<\/p>\n

He also called out Democratic California Rep. Maxine Waters for her comments on the riots.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe said, quote, \u2018I don\u2019t know why we have guns. What are those guns for? Are they to shoot protesters?\u2019 Again, if you are looking at the images coming up on your TV screen \u2014 cars on fire, looting, people defacing buildings\u2014and then you hear Maxine Waters say, \u2018What are these cops doing?\u2019 That feels tone-deaf to me, right?\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
