The Feds now suggest Diddy will be sentenced to a much harsher sentence than they did on the day of the verdict.<\/strong><\/p>\n

After the DOJ has fired James Comey\u2019s daughter, prosecutor Maurene Comey, it appears that they\u2019ve gone into a sterner mode than before in the final stages of the Sean \u2018Diddy\u2019 Combs high-profile trial.<\/p>\n

\u201cProsecutors said they now expect music mogul Sean \u2018Diddy\u2019 Combs could face a prison sentence \u2018substantially higher\u2019 than the four to five years they once thought he was likely to face after his conviction on two prostitution-related charges.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Prosecutors revealed their new stance in a legal filing in Manhattan court last night (31) in which they also opposed Diddy\u2019s $50 million bail package asking to be released from prison while awaiting his October sentencing.<\/p>\n

Diddy has been found not guilty of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking charges but convicted of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution.<\/p>\n

\u201cEach prostitution-related charge carries a potential maximum 10 years in prison, [and prosecutors] said Thursday they believe the guidelines range \u2018will be substantially higher,\u2019 raising the risk Combs will flee.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Judge Arun Subramanian will decide on the sentence, with freedom to ignore the guidelines.<\/p>\n

Combs\u2019 defense believes the guidelines call for 21 to 27 months in prison (of which the disgraced rapper has already served around 12 months).<\/p>\n

Diddy has been convicted of convicted on two counts of \u2018transportation to engage in prostitution\u2019.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

As for the bail \u2013 that judge Subramanian has already denied 4 times and is examining a fifth try \u2013 prosecutors said the prostitution-related charges require that he be remanded in jail pre-sentencing, and also argued that the defendant is \u2018a danger to the community\u2019.<\/p>\n

\u201c\u2019The defendant\u2019s extensive history of violence \u2014 and his continued attempt to minimize his recent violent conduct \u2014 demonstrates his dangerousness and that he is not amendable to supervision\u2019, they wrote. \u2018The defendant utterly fails to establish by clear and convincing evidence, as required, that he does not pose a danger to the community\u2019.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
