Steve Bannon<\/a> and Rep Eli Crane<\/a> discussed the NGO National Endowment for Democracy and how they have been used to censor the MAGA movement. Rep Crane commented that he believed it \u201cis a cutout for the CIA.\u201d They also discussed the threat of AI impacting economics and morality.<\/p>\n

\u201cAre you concerned here at all that we may be summoning the demon?\u201d Bannon asked regarding AI.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have many concerns about AI. You know, I think you could definitely view it as a technological Tower of Babel and all the things that could come with it. I\u2019m also very worried about the economic ramifications,\u201d Crane said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is something that I think is, you know, pretty terrifying, and I don\u2019t think that there\u2019s a lot of good solutions out there,\u201d Crane continued.<\/p>\n

Bannon also discussed the National Endowment for Democracy with Rep Crane and the effort to defund them.<\/p>\n

\u201cTalk to us about this legislation. You are trying to put something forward that we can codify, getting rid of this, correct?\u201d Bannon asked.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s right, Steve. This is really reminiscent to me of last Congress when I tried to defund USAID,\u201d Crane said.<\/p>\n

Rep Crane told Bannon that he believed the National Endowment for Democracy had potential ties to the CIA as a \u201ccutout.\u201d He also explained that while certain institutions start out potentially good, they can be weaponized to work against its own citizens.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is another institution, nonprofit, that you know, I do believe is a cutout for the CIA. And I do believe it had a, you know, semi-virtuous origin when it was created to do, but like many of the agencies and institutions in Washington, especially over the last administration it\u2019s been weaponized against the American people,\u201d Crane said.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou have all these Democrats running around saying that President Trump, the MAGA movement, the America first movement, we\u2019re all a threat to Democracy. Therefore, they\u2019ve used this agency to censor us, and become weaponized to try and stop this populist movement,\u201d Crane explained.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to make sure that we hold them accountable in the pocketbook,\u201d Crane said.<\/p>\n
