As The Gateway Pundit reported<\/a>, Texas Governor Greg Abbott on Sunday also threatened to remove from office Democrat lawmakers who fled to Illinois and other states to block GOP Congressional redistricting.<\/p>\n

Texas Democrats fled the state to block the Republicans in the legislature from holding a special session and to block a redistricting vote on Sunday.<\/p>\n

\u201cDemocrats hatched a deliberate plan not to show up for work, for the specific purpose of abdicating the duties of their office and thwarting the chamber\u2019s business. That amounts to an abandonment or forfeiture of an elected state office,\u201d Abbott stated.<\/p>\n
