During a recent podcast appearance, longtime Democrat strategist James Carville suggested that the next time Democrats are in power, that they should add more states and pack the U.S. Supreme Court in order to\u2026 save democracy.<\/p>\n

If any of that makes sense to you, you might be a liberal.<\/p>\n

The Hill<\/a> reports:<\/p>\n

Veteran Democratic strategist James Carville on Thursday suggested Democrats should add two states to the country and expand the Supreme Court in order to \u201csave democracy.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThey are just going to have to unilaterally add Puerto Rico and District of Columbia as states, \u2026 They\u2019re just going to have to do it. And they may have to expand the [Supreme Court] to 13 members,\u201d Carville said during a Thursday podcast episode.<\/p>\n

The proposal comes after the longtime commentator told party members to let the president \u201cpunch himself out\u201d of the American public\u2019s good graces.<\/p>\n

Carville says conditions are drastic, citing the GOP push to add five additional House seats in Texas ahead of the 2026 midterms, and require a more forward approach if Democrats capture the White House and both chambers of Congress.<\/p>\n

\u201cAny of those things in isolation I would be skeptical about. I would be cautious about,\u201d Carville said of his ideas.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
