Rutgers University has deleted four \u201cwoke\u201d race-based scholarships from its website after a civil rights complaint was filed against it on Friday.<\/p>\n

The Equal Protection Project (EPP) filed a complaint with the U.S. Department of Education\u2019s Office for Civil Rights, according to a report from Campus Reform<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Finally, a much-needed debate is happening in America as a result of the proactive anti-Woke measures and enforcement by the Trump administration.<\/p>\n

Despite these scholarships being deleted, the complaint provides archives for each award.<\/p>\n

One example was a scholarship giving preferences to \u201cunderrepresented minorities,\u201d even though racial discrimination is illegal.<\/p>\n

Another program focused on \u201cunderrepresented students,\u201d whatever that means.<\/p>\n

Another scholarship was the NACME scholarship for \u201cunder-represented (African American, American Indian, or Latino) and\/or first generation.\u201d What about White Americans living in poverty?<\/p>\n

Rutgers distanced itself from the scholarships.<\/p>\n

They told the New York Post, <\/em>\u201cThe university will closely review the complaint, but based on preliminary information, two of the scholarships are not administered by the university and the remaining two are no longer being awarded,\u201d the statement read.\u201d<\/p>\n

EPP\u2019s founder, William Jacobson, responded strongly to the university.<\/p>\n

According to Mr Jacobson, \u201c[A]s of the date of our complaint, all of the challenged scholarships were actively promoted on and active according to the Rutgers website (see screenshots and links in Complaint),\u201d he wrote. \u201cIt is irrelevant whether Rutgers \u2018administered\u2019 the scholarships (though we believe it did) since it promoted them, and the application was made through Rutgers.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201c[W]e are calling on Rutgers to live up to its own set of rules \u2014 that shouldn\u2019t be controversial.\u201d<\/p>\n

EPP has lodged similar complaints against Florida State University, Western Michigan, and the University of Miami.<\/p>\n
