trafficking.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this week, the U.S. issued a $50 million bounty onf Maduro over his role in the narco-terrorist group Cartel de los Soles.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking at her morning press conference, Sheinbaum said Mexico has no active investigations linking Maduro to cartel activity within the country.<\/p>\n<div class=\"tgp-post-inline-1\">\n<div class=\"adcovery-postinline-01\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cAs we always have said, if they have any proof, then they must show it,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have no proof related to href=\"https:\/\/www.state.gov\/reward-offer-increase-of-up-to-50-million-for-information-leading-to-arrest-and-or-conviction-of-nicolas-maduro\">press release<\/a> on Thursday, the Department of Justice doubled their previous bounty of $25 million to $50 million.<\/p>\n<p>Their announcement states:<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\n<blockquote>\n<p>For over a decade, Maduro has been a leader of Cartel de los Soles, which is responsible for trafficking drugs into the United States.<\/p>\n<p>On July 25, 2025, the U.S. Department of the Treasury designated Cartel de Los Soles as a Specially Designated Global Terrorist (SDGT).<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\n<blockquote>\n<p>Since 2020, Maduro has strangled democracy and grasped at power in Venezuela.\u00a0 Maduro claimed to have won Venezuela\u2019s July 28, 2024, presidential election but failed to present any evidence that he had prevailed.<\/p>\n<p>The United States has refused to recognize Maduro as the winner of 2024 election and does not recognize him as the President of Venezuela.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Sheinbaum, meanwhile, is notorious for her willingness to defend criminal organizations.<\/p>\n<p>On Friday, she accused the U.S. of planning an \u201cinvasion\u201d of her countyr over reports that Trump may be willing to authorize military force against Mexican drug cartels.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe cooperate, collaborate, but there will be no invasion,\u201d she said of the reports.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat is off the table, absolutely off the table.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"N8Xhu5SD7d\">\n<p><a
