An accusation of \u201cgerrymandering\u201d has become a key talking point for Democrat party leaders.<\/p>\n<p>The accusation is so absurd in light of what Democrats have done in other states, including Illinois, that even the DNC\u2019s PR wing in the legacy media is pushing back.<\/p>\n<p>Illinois Governor JB Pritzker joined NBC\u2019s Kristen Welker and, when pressed, the possible presidential hopeful was left stammering and, of course, never actually answered the question.<\/p>\n<div class=\"tgp-post-inline-1\">\n<div class=\"adcovery-postinline-01\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Welker shared a graphic of the state before pressing Pritzker.<\/p>\n<figure aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1435936\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-facebook wp-image-1435936\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.thegatewaypundit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/screen-shot-2025-08-11-at-10.04.15-am-1200x630.png?resize=640%2C336&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"336\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Image: Screenshot courtsey of NBC News.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Welker stated, \u201cOf every major group that grades the fairness of Congress maps gives your state an F. Common cause and non-partisan government watchdog even says your map, and I\u2019m going to quote, \u2018represents a nearly perfect model for everything that can go wrong with redistricting.&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She then asked, \u201cAnd I guess the question is, you talk about preserving democracy. How do you preserve democracy if you\u2019re using the same tactics that you\u2019ve criticized Texas Republicans for?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Pritzker responded, \u201cBut as I say, what they\u2019re talking about is a distraction. The reality is that the violation of people\u2019s voting rights is what Texas is attempting to do.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s what\u2019s wrong with their efforts right now. The fact that the President of the United States knows it and nevertheless is asking them to do it.
