Harjinder Singh, an illegal alien truck driver, killed three Americans<\/a> after he made an illegal U-turn on a Florida highway.<\/p>\n

The Punjabi driver who obtained his truck driving license (CDL) in the Democrat-run sanctuary state of California made an insane U-turn on Florida\u2019s Turnpike near Fort Pierce that caused the deadly crash.<\/p>\n

Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy revealed Singh\u00a0failed English and couldn\u2019t read road signs.<\/a><\/p>\n

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis sent Lt Governor Jay Collins to extradite Singh back to the Sunshine State to face the full force of the law.<\/span><\/p>\n

Singh has been charged with three counts of vehicular homicide, a second-degree felony in Florida. Each count carrys a potential penalty of up to 15 years in prison for a total of a possible 45 years if convicted on all counts.<\/p>\n

He also faces an additional manslaughter charge.<\/p>\n

There are some, however, who want leniency for Singh despite the three dead Americans on his hands. More than 2.3 million people have signed a Change.org petition<\/a> asking for clemency for Singh and suggesting counseling and community service instead.<\/p>\n

We, the undersigned, urge Governor Ron DeSantis and the Florida Board of Executive Clemency to re-examine and reduce the sentence for a 28-year-old truck driver involved in a fatal U-turn crash on Florida\u2019s Turnpike in South Florida. This was a tragic accident \u2014 not a deliberate act. While accountability matters, the severity of the charges against him does not align with the circumstances of the incident.<\/p>\n

Consider alternative sentencing options, such as restorative justice measures, counseling, or community service, aligning with both accountability and compassion.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Some signers even shared video messages supporting Singh to the petition site.<\/p>\n
