President Trump will sign an executive order on Monday to pressure liberal jurisdictions across the country into ending policies like cashless bail.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The order will threaten to federally defund cities and towns that enforce these policies that are an \u201cobvious threat to public safety,\u201d the order states.<\/p>\n

Earlier this month, President Trump declared<\/a> a \u201cpublic safety emergency\u201d in the nation\u2019s capital and\u00a0federalized the DC Metropolitan Police, citing high crime and unsafe streets. He further authorized the use of National Guard troops and deployed federal agents across the city to tackle the rampant crime, homelessness, and illegal immigration crises.<\/p>\n

Following the federal takeover two weeks ago, there have been almost no murders in the District. There have been zero homicides in the last eleven days.<\/p>\n

Trump also said<\/a> he will be working with Republicans in Congress to change the statutes to get rid of no cash bail and \u201csome of the other things\u201d that empower criminals in DC and other major cities across the nation.<\/p>\n

The President will reportedly sign an executive order to do that this afternoon.<\/p>\n

President Trump is expected to sign an executive order Monday ending cashless bail <\/a>by threatening to revoke federal funding for jurisdictions across the country, The Post has learned.<\/p>\n

Attorney General Pam Bondi will provide Trump with a list of the no-cash-bail jurisdictions that could end up targeting states like New York, cities such as Washington, DC, or other localities with lax bail policies.<\/p>\n

\u201cCashless bail policies allow dangerous individuals to immediately return to the streets and further endanger law-abiding, hard-working Americans because they know our laws will not be enforced,\u201d a White House memo on the executive action states.<\/p>\n

Arresting repeat offenders for new crimes after they\u2019ve already been freed without bail is a \u201cwaste of public resources and obvious threat to public safety,\u201d the memo also noted, citing instances of violent offenders being released onto the streets, only to be charged again.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

President Trump has also set his sights on executing his crime initiative and deploying the National Guard in other cities like Chicago, New York, and San Francisco.<\/p>\n

As The Gateway Pundit reported, President Trump told reporters on Friday,\u00a0\u201cI think Chicago will be our next, and then we\u2019ll help with New York.\u201d He added, \u201cNow, you look at what the Democrats have done to San Francisco. They\u2019ve destroyed it\u2026 We\u2019ll clean that one up, too.\u201d<\/p>\n
