President Donald Trump is putting the heat on Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley, blasting him for siding with Democrats to block his nominee, powerhouse attorney Alina Habba, from being confirmed as U.S. Attorney for New Jersey.<\/p>\n

Habba, a loyal Trump ally and seasoned attorney, appeared on Fox News Thursday night<\/a> to expose the backroom scheming that has allowed Democrats, and now some Republicans, to derail her nomination.<\/p>\n

Earlier in the day, Obama-appointed Judge Mathew Brann declared that Habba is \u201cnot lawfully holding the Office of U.S. Attorney,\u201d siding with Democrat pressure groups and legal insiders who have waged war against her appointment from day one.<\/p>\n

Last month, federal judges in New Jersey, under pressure from Democrat Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, refused to extend Habba\u2019s interim term.<\/p>\n

Habba was forced to resign as Interim U.S. Attorney, only to be reappointed as Acting U.S. Attorney by Trump\u2019s Department of Justice in a bold move to bypass the judicial blockade.<\/p>\n

Habba revealed Thursday that Grassley is using the outdated \u201cblue slip\u201d tradition to block her Senate confirmation, effectively giving Democrat senators a veto over Trump\u2019s appointments.<\/p>\n

\u201cI will tell you this: Number one, I was the nominee to become the U.S. Attorney. Cory Booker and Andy Kim\u2014who I have never, to this day, spoken to in my life despite my attempts to meet them\u2014have truly, truly done us a disservice,\u201d Habba told Sean Hannity.<\/p>\n

\u201cFrankly, same with Senator Grassley, by holding up a traditional blue slip and not allowing a lot of the President\u2019s picks to go through and be voted on by the Senate.\u201d<\/p>\n

Last month President Trump told Grassley to drop the \u2018blue slip\u2019 custom that defers the nominations to the home state senators.<\/p>\n

\u201cChuck Grassley, who I got re-elected to the U.S. Senate when he was down, by a lot, in the Great State of Iowa, could solve the \u201cBlue Slip\u201d problem we are having with respect to the appointment of Highly Qualified Judges and U.S. Attorneys, with a mere flick of the pen.<\/p>\n

Democrats like Schumer, Warner, Kaine, Booker, Schiff, and others, SLEAZEBAGS ALL, have an ironclad stoppage of Great Republican Candidates.<\/p>\n

Put simply, the President of the United States will never be permitted to appoint the person of his choice because of an ancient, and probably Unconstitutional, \u201cCUSTOM,\u201d that if you have, even one person in the opposite Party serving in the U.S. Senate, he\/she must give consent, thereby completely stopping the opposite Party\u2019s Nomination.<\/p>\n

The only way to beat this Hoax is to appoint a Democrat or, a weak and ineffective Republican. Therefore, I would never be able to appoint Great Judges or U.S. Attorneys in California, New York, New Jersey, Illinois, Virginia, and other places, where there is, coincidentally, the highest level of crime and corruption \u2014 The places where fantastic people are most needed! Senator Grassley must step up, like Crooked Joe Biden did, when he openly broke, at least two times, the \u201cBlue Slip\u201d SCAM, and like others have done over the years, and let our Great Republican Judges and U.S. Attorneys BE CONFIRMED.<\/p>\n

He should do this, IMMEDIATELY, and not let the Democrats laugh at him and the Republican Party for being weak and ineffective. The Democrats have broken this ridiculous custom on us, it\u2019s time that we break it on them. Chuck, I know you have the Courage to do this, DO IT!\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

By Sunday night, Trump escalated his attack<\/a>, demanding Grassley abandon the blue slip blockade once and for all:<\/p>\n

\u201cI have a Constitutional Right to appoint Judges and U.S. Attorneys, but that RIGHT has been completely taken away from me in States that have just one Democrat United States Senator.<\/p>\n

This is because of an old and outdated \u201ccustom\u201d known as a BLUE SLIP, that Senator Chuck Grassley, of the Great State of Iowa, refuses to overturn, even though the Democrats, including Crooked Joe Biden (Twice!), have done so on numerous occasions.<\/p>\n

Therefore, the only candidates that I can get confirmed for these most important positions are, believe it or not, Democrats! Chuck Grassley should allow strong Republican candidates to ascend to these very vital and powerful roles, and tell the Democrats, as they often tell us, to go to HELL!\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
